Dwayne Jarrett selects ``representation,'' as they say in sports these days.

ROSE PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT SIGNS USC ALL-AMERICAN DWAYNE JARRETT


January 19, 2007 – Cherry Hill, NJ - Rose Professional Management, Inc., led by President Leon Rose and agent Darin Morgan, announced today the signing of Southern California All-American Dwayne Jarrett to a representation contract.

Jarrett, a 6-foot-5 and 210 pound wide receiver, is USC’s all-time receptions leader with 216 career catches for 3,138 yards. A product of New Brunswick, N.J. and New Brunswick High School, he holds the Pacific-10 all-time record with 41 career touchdown receptions in 38 games, and was twice named a first-team All-American.

“We are very excited to welcome Dwayne Jarrett into the Rose Professional Management family,� said Rose. “He is a mature young man and an extremely talented football player. The sky is the limit for Dwayne, and we look forward to representing him.�

A projected first-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, Jarrett announced he would forgo his senior season at USC on Jan. 10. After a junior year in which he helped guide the Trojans to an 11-2 record with 70 catches for 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns, he capped it off by earning offensive Most Valuable Player honors in the Rose Bowl. During the Trojans’ 32-18 victory over Michigan, he posted 11 receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns.

During his collegiate career from 2004-06, Jarrett helped guide USC to the 2004 National Championship and an overall record of 36-3.

“Dwayne is a proven winner, having won both a collegiate national championship and high school state title,� said Morgan. “We are confident that he will have a successful NFL career.�

Rose Professional Management offers professional management services for today’s top athletes. Jarrett marks the first football player represented exclusively by the agency. Rose’s client list had been solely comprised of basketball players, including NBA superstars LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets, and Richard Hamilton of the Detroit Pistons.

DJ, I know you're a LeBron fan and all, but wouldn't you think having an agent with a little NFL experience would be wise? Go figure. Short of that, why not just hire an attorney on an hourly rate to negotiate your deal and save the extra cash?

It is just coincidence that he signed with them. But, last year you did see Jarrett at several local basketball games involving Rose Professional Management clients. Hmmm
