You're Welcome!
Pete Carroll credited yours truly today with helping him realize he wanted to stay at USC because of countless conversations on whether college football presented enough of a challenge for him.
``You were absolutely right. I did get frustrated with the challenge of it all,'' Carroll said. ``I was at the brink of it. I was thinking a million times (Monday) about how you always said it to me. And I realized it was enough. I made the decision to return right before I talked to you guys.''

I promise I won't say anything bad about you until next week!
As for your editors...CAN WE GET SOME USC BASKETBALL COVERAGE?
There was a UCLA Basketball Notebook today and guess who the opponent is next? That's right! USC!!!
So, based on your comment, Scott,we can all respond to the question, "Is Pete coming back to USC?" YES! "Why?" Because of what Scott Wolfe said to him. Is that it in a nut shell?
Oops! Sorry! no "e" after the "f".
I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say here. Was PC expressing frustration that college football wasn't challenging enough for him?? I'm a little dumbfounded by that considering that SC lost to Texas & UCLA in consecutive games in the Rose Bowl. Perhaps if he had won the 3 in a row, sure, he could make that argument. But now with the rise of Florida, the return of the SEC as the power conference, and the number of great coaches in the college game, PC can't be frustrated by the lack of challenge! Am I misunderstanding the post?
Hmmm...So Wolfie saved USC and kept Pete?
I guess "I made the decision to return" doesn't sound real great...sounds like he (is?) was 99% out the door...
I would say by the sound of that he will be in Miami within a week....
Yeah exactly Eloi, he lost to Texas, lost 2 games this year to unranked teams, and our running game was not exactly the best in the nation. All of our WR have no experience, Sarkisian is headed to Oakland, and we had our lowest ranking since 2002. That's not enough of a challenge? Even if we get the offense on track we have to beat Nebraska in Nebraska, not implode vs. UCLA again like we did this year, and beat Florida or Michigan or another good team in the BCS game...
You want the credit, but that idiot T. J. Simers actually got this scoop. How could you let that happen?
Debbie Downer...take your prozac and cheer up! We have just had our fifth consecutive BCS bowl, we are 4-1 with 2 NCs, we have finished ranked #4 or better in five straight years, five consecutive Pac-10 championships, and have lost four games in four years. We have challenges ahead of us but that's what makes College Football so exciting.
"I'm only happy when it rains..." must be your theme song.
Debbie Downer...are you really Scott Wolf out for a laugh....weren't you the same whiner that was compaining about offensive playcalling this past year...and now you are worried about Sarkisian leaving....by the way, how many games did USC win in 1966.....

So Carroll announces he's staying put and half of the posts on this thread crap all over him for not being a good enough head coach. Would you people have thrown a little party if he decided to leave? Just wondering.
Why the hell would Pete go anywhere? The sanctions to SC football will never happen not with all the mula SC has!Cheaty Petey is the best thing that happened to SC. Cheater or not my hat goes off to him. He knows what to do even if it is cheating! With that said ...all good and evil comes to an end ( like the mafia) and your time is coming............! Lets go bruins FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
I think your pants come off too. You've been letting Yoda have his way with you tooooooo often. 9 clap or whatever that crap is. Losers. Nice Guantlet. Nice Director's Cup. Girly ball forever.
