are you referring to the LA times story this morning that SC sent a limo (which is violation per NCAA) to pick up Brian Price? SC is saying they sent a town car and have a receipt to prove that's what they ordered. Sometimes limo companies run out of the town cars and send limos instead. happens all the time to me going to the airport...

This is poor writing. This sentence is completely ambiguous. Is the NCAA investigating possible violations at USC or at the other school to which the unnamed recruits are pledged? Your readers can only wonder.
