They don't want Pete Carroll. He makes a good college coach but he was fired from every team he coached in the NFL. Carroll is a stupid person, where did he go to school? University of Pacific (PE major)? How many Bowl games did he play in? Pom Pom makes a good cheer-leader. Dorrell would kick Pete's ass in a fight, Dorrell will kick his ass next year in the coliseum. I can't wait...13-9, 65-64, and 70-65 ladies.

Oh I hope so whitebread Karl Dorell. The cut rate version of a head coach so uc bel-airian. Karl is such a leader and you're his punk

Hey Miguelito, guess where the University of the Pacific Basketball Team plays...the Spanos Center. Who would you least like to be, (1) “a stupid person” that went to the “University of the Pacific” and now owns the San Diego Chargers, (2) one of the best College Football Coaches in College Football History (also a UP grad), or (3) a moronic, alleged Bruin graduate that works at McDonalds and enjoys spending his free time posting on a USC website?

And I thought you would be happy that Carroll might be leaving b/c he would no longer be able to kick UCLA’s ass (5-1) at football. Great job turning that 13-9 victory into the 38th ranked recruiting class.

Fight on!

PS - Dorrell was a soft football player and a soft coach. Just ask anyone that actually played football with him.

This system sucks. Now, that my post has been erased, it's not worth re-posting except to say, why bother!

Hey Loserlito,

How in the world can you call PC a stupid person? If he is so stupid, how in the world does he continue to sell the best recruits in the nation to SC? Oh thats right, b/c he's stupid - I forgot.

You on the other hand are the West Coast Wizard, you are the Man with The Plan - Loserlito.

Lets be real, PC is genius - he is a stud recruiter, a defensive wizard, he has more charisma than any coach in college football, scratch that, he has more charisma than any other coach in football - he is a winner - bottom line, case closed Loserlito

Even if SC were to lose PC to the Chargers, I would applaud all that he has done for the university. He is the man & you are a moron!!

why cant someone just respond to pete carroll's non-statement statement. i know in the past pete has usually said something like "i'm not going anywhere." he is either having fun just playing around with everyone's mind or he is interested in this one. lucky spanos is cheap and a.j. smith has a reputation of interfering. if that wasnt the case i think carroll would be gone. also if these mcknight allegations are true -- and i tend to beleive there is a lot to it after seeing the actual video on youtube -- pete might think it is best to leave before he is caught in the middle of a possible scandal.

miguelito-

From a "stupid" Pacific graduate. B.A. in Bio class of 1986. My excellent education there allowed me to be accepted to the top dental school in the U.S....... UCLA!! Sorry Trojan dentists, it's the truth!!

My football allegiance will always be to the Cardinal and Gold, for everything they represent. Tradition, and a continued commitment to excellence, while the jealous wannna- be's from across town trot out their one meaningful victory in 8 years. The bRuin "nation" is satisfied with a lone rivalry victory in a decade, while USC continues to push for sustained success throughout each season, and victories in BCS Bowl Games that are actually played in a football stadium in January.

Hey, miguelito, where did you go to school?

Hey Miguelito! Let's keep this thing going baby. As an SC fan, all I gotta say is "KARL DORRELL: LIFETIME CONTRACT!!!" Keep Dorrell in Westwood!

Pete's gone!!! DAMN IT!!!

Mr. Picks:
PC is NOT going anywhere. On the surface the SDC job is a good one. You dig deep into it and you are marrying a ticking bomb and the fact that a 14-2 record gets you fired. NOT even Vince Lombardi walked on water and that is what they want. There isn't such element on the periodic table! Go figure!

That is an odd non-denial denial from Carroll. In the past, he has talked about wanting control; clearly he would not have that in San Diego. Of course, he would not have to "rebuild" a team, maybe that is an attraction.

I am a little disappointed that PC would not put these rumors to rest once and for all. He is in a position, should he stay a signifigant time at SC, to establish himself as one of the greatest college coaches of all time. He enjoys the game, and his coaching style seems to be one classically suited to college over the pros. He may not be a Vince Lombardi, but he can be a Bear Bryant or Knute Rockne.

I think this "prowannabe"-ism is hurting college football. Athletes are tied to their schools by having to give up a quarter to half of their collegiate career if they want to transfer. Coaches almost seem to treat contracts as one-way vehicles that bind the schools, but not them.

And programs cannot help but be hurt by all these rumors about coaching comings and goings...not to mention these recruiting irregularities.

By the way, in response to an earlier comment, college coaching must be amazingly simple if someone so "stupid" as PC can compile such a positive record and win two national championships in six years. To put it another way, if PC is stupid, what does that make the rest of the coaches in Division 1-A football?

miguelito, you conveniently forget that our "ladies" kicked yours back to Westwood just last weekend after owning y'all at home. ;)
