Fifteen Bucks?
Next Tuesday, USC coach Pete Carroll will moderate a discussion at Bovard Auditorium on diversity and athletics featuring John Papadakis and Sam Cunningham. You, the general public, can attend for $15.
None of these guys is hurting for money, so my question is why isn't the event free?

Comments
Wolf, do you have any idea where the money is going, like to charity or to the program?

Wolf,
This is laziness. Call USC and ask.
Or do you want other people here to do your work for you?
Lazy.
Perezoso.

Maybe it's not free because the money isn't being raised to pay PC and the guys on the panel. Could be to raise money for a new weight room or field upgrades. Who knows?
Seriously Scott stop riling people up with unsubstantiated allegations and practice some actual investigative reporting for a change.

Uh, maybe because USC is a for-profit enterprise and Bovard charges anyone who wants to hold an event there. It does cost money to run the lights and pay the personel that work these events. In the relative scheme of things $15 is nothing. I just paid $250 for a concert. $250!!!! Let's talk about important stuff like finding O-line depth. How much coffee do you drink Scottmeister?

Scott - All of 3 minutes of web research (it took me longer to sign into Type Key) and it becomes apparent this panel is part of the University's Arts and Humanities Initiative. I doubt the panelists are pocketing the gate receipts.
How did you ever graduate with research skills like that?

... or if there's a USC alum who doesn't want to shell out the $15 I'm willing to let someone borrow my ID to get in for free. I'd like to go myself but I have a class project presentation to give at the same time as the panel discussion :-/

The reason there's a charge of $15.00 is to ensure the bottom feeders, like yourself, have to think before they buy that 3rd pizza or go to the discussion got it?

Scott, I am sure the P would buy a dinner for you at the Taverna if you can't afford the admission fee and remain healthy. You are better than this, Wolfie. Why complain?
