Recruiting Update
Expect defensive tackle Marvin Austin to commit to North Carolina. USC remains in the hunt for out-of-staters Joe McKnight (tailback), Ronald Johnson (wide receiver) and Deonte Thompson (wide receiver). Thompson actually had USC as his No. 1 choice this week, but Ohio State, Florida and Florida State swooped in for home visits after the Trojans.

Those are 3 studs we can get, we can still have the top class
It's becoming more and more apparrent to me that there are a lot of kids out there that either are afraid to actually have to compete for playing time..and would rather go somewhere (lesser) where they can just about guarantee major playing time as true freshmen. I'm getting more and more proud of the kind of kid that we are getting. Tremendous and challenging tough recruits who will make their mark in the college football world as they step up to the challenge of getting onto Pete Carrols field! Fight On true Trojans! Warren indicated his problem with the depth at corner at SC, B. Green started wavering as soon as Mark Tyler committed, Schwaiger bailed as soon as Reardon and Griffen committed...I say good riddance! We don't need kids that are not up to the challenge to play for our Illustrious Trojans! Corp, Galippo,Griffin,O'Dowd, Tyler,et/al..Fight the hell On! These are the kinds of men that we want, the hell with the chickens.
Rojo is a trojan!!!!
Ronald Johnson just committed to USC...a huge recruit for PC...especially after losing Warren.
Sorry ReelBruin...the sky isn't falling. Enjoy the Las Vegas Bowl next year.
Well put Gilly. that's why Jimmy Clausen isn't coming to SC. He knew he would never beat out Mark Sanchez once JD leaves
The RoJo committmemt is just wonderful. Warren shy'd away from the competition and RoJo dove in head first...and can also compete at WR! This is just the kind of kid I love to see become a Trojan. I also concur with East Coast Trojan on Jimmy Clausen. With all the hype this kid had received, you'd think that he was anointed into greatness. I give him a lot of respect for his HS success but did note that when he played against equal or at least similar talent, like that CIF state championship game and the Army AllStar game in San Antonio, he played just average or below. He saw ND with no QB competition and committed very early. Good for him..and he should have fun against the service academy's and weak ACLU....but then reality is going to set in. I seriously doubt that he could beat Sanchez out, and I honestly like the looks of Aaron Corp above Claussen too.
how many schollys does UF have to give and how did they get so many?
I think that Fla got so many schollys this year because of the massive exodus of underclassmen to the NFL draft this year. I'm not positive but heard somewhere that they lose 10 starters to the draft, many of them underclassmen.
All...while on the subject of studs...how about some props for a real super stud BRUCE MATTHEWS Hall Famer

Stay tuned!
Clausen isn't the end-all, anyway, and hasn't been. Corp made him look ridiculous in the CIF championships.
