Staples Center Is Down The Street

Actor Denzel Washington, a regular at Laker games, attended the USC game and got mobbed by the team in the locker room after the game. Washington signed autographs outside the locker room and then visited the coaches' offices afterward.

Denzel should've won the Oscar for '92's "Malcolm X", but lost out to Pacino for "Scent of a Woman." It's all politics, that's why it took this long for Mr. Martin Scorsese to win his first Oscar. "The Departed" was good, but c'mon, it was no "GoodFellas", "Raging Bull", "Taxi Driver", "Mean Streets", "Casino" or "The King of Comedy." Congratulations, though. He could've berated the Academy for failing to recognize Raging Bull and others, but Ol' Eyebrows was pure class tonight. Congratulations to my favorite living filmmaker.
