Sophomore Allen Bradford has been told he will remain at running back when spring practice begins next month. Bradford currently weighs 226 pounds but his body fat has dropped from 11 to 9 percent since the end of the season.

I have been saying since season end the job is his in 2007. Too much power, speed and athlectisim. He was just slower too learn.
Sad is that Moody, Cable, CW each could be All American.
But if Bradford is beaten out it will be by a new freshman.

I enjoy Allen Bradfords ability but think he is worth more on the defensive side of the ball.
With the log-jam of RB's we have, he has a chance to make a larger name for himself as a LB.
Maybe not this year with the three AA we have, but next year he could be the starting WLB and a star.

No doubt Bradford could be great linebacker if he can learn position. But that position has a logjam, too.
Taylor Mays may be best potential rb, so you have a good basis for your opinion. But if anyone is switched to defense it would be most likely Gable or Stafon, or Tyler.
Bradord took longer to learn, but his potential is unlimited. His touches produced against Michigan. If PC had played him against UCLA instead of injured CW USC is national champion.
He is fast enough, with good hands, to run out of backfied and catch a pass downfield and looks like the other 21 between tackles.
It will be a football footnote, but 2007 have the deepest collection of great tailbacks in history of CF.
Pray for Fullbacks.

Right you are Morantz in all of your points.
The only thing that makes me believe that Bradford, of all the players who are current RB, could switch to Defense and start in a year is the fact that he was considered an elite LB talent in High School as well as RB.
I am aware that Tyler is also considered a potiental LB or Safety, and if he does not regain quality RB speed after his broken leg he may end up on Defense. Gable also was considered a CB or Safety as well as a RB out of HS, but with Bradfords size, strength and speed of the potential O 2 D switches, Bradford is the one that stands out the most to me.
