The Next Bush?

Pete Carroll said Joe McKnight signed with USC because he brought something no other current or incoming back has on the team.
``Joe saw we did not shift guys out of the backfield last year like we did with Reggie (Bush) and he can do that. He is an incredible football player,'' Carroll said.

shift guys out of the backfield???

Whatever, this guy can be the next Bush...I say put him in first game vs. Idaho......

Wasn't it just a number of years ago, people were comparing Reggie Bush to a young Marshall Faulk? Isn't Marshall Faulk from Louisiana? I find it ironic the pendulum is swinging back towards Louisiana, with the comparisons of Bush to McKnight, who is a native Louisianan. If that is a foreshadowing pattern of things to come, perhaps the next Joe McKnight might be coming out of San Diego in another 3-4 years (home of Reggie Bush).

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
