When A Loss Is Not A Loss

According to an NCAA source, if Reggie Bush is declared ineligible, USC could be forced to ``vacate'' its victories from the 2004 and 2005 seasons instead of forfeit. What's the difference? A vacated result does not count as a loss, it simply gets erased from the record books.
Maybe Pete Carroll can get the NCAA to vacate the result of the UCLA game.
