Joe McKnight picks USC on ESPNU
"I thought about it last night, and today I decided to go to the University of Southern California," McKnight said from a press conference at John Curtis Christian High School live on ESPNU.
With McKnight signing USC is only 133 points behind Florida Gators in #2 according to Rivals.com. Is #1 possible?

TN just went ahead of USC by 32 poitns with the Trojans class falling to #3.
If don't have ESPN U ESPN2 will carry live recruiting until 1400 PDT.
Hey folks, last time I checked, there are no awards for having the best recruiting class. the games are played on the field. lets keep this in prespective. good Job PC in getting such a good class with all that was swimming against you and the program. cant wait to see these guy mix it up with the returning class this fall. Fight ON!!

This is so typical as to what is wrong with NCAA 1A Football. just like the mythical national championship, people vote for the best recruiting class who cares?? play it on the Field. its the only vote that should count.
Who cares that USC has the No. 1 recruiting class for the 5th Year in a row (per ESPN)?....only everyone that enjoys watching USC consistently recruit the top highschool talent in the country so USC can keep reloading and winning National Championships, Heismans, BCS Games, and Pac-10 Championships... that’s who cares.
FYI - Top recruiting programs over the last several years have been USC (2003, 2004 NC), Texas (2005 NC), and Florida (2006 NC). Do you see a pattern there? In 2003 USC had the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, which included Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Steve Smith, John David Booty, Ryan Kallil, Sam Baker, Lawrence Jackson, Sedrick Ellis, and Terrell Thomas. It is kind of hard to consistently win on the field if you don’t have the top talent playing for your team (see UCLA).

yeah JJ that top recruiting class really helped us against *ucla didnt it. dont get me wrong. Im happy that we have another top recruiting class and that PC can recruit anywhere in the nation and get top talent. that says an awful lot for the program. but put it in presective. it only counts when the last seconds have ticked off the clock. talent alone dosent win championships but Pete Carrol is a heck of a coach so nine times out of ten it should work out right?
