Any Change?
Before Pro Day, wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett was considered a mid-to-late first round pick. After Pro Day, he's considered a mid-to-late first round pick. His slow 40 time was not considered a huge setback.
``We didn't expect him to be fast anyways,'' one NFL coach said.

He is "too slow" for the NFL and "not smart enough" to go to Notre Dame but is still the premiere WR in college football...hmmm
DJ looked pleanty fast enough when I saw him in South Bend a year and a half ago. With ankle high grass and one eye blind he did okay on 4th and 9 for about 65 yards. He's a baller...throw the football and he'll bring in! Good luck to you DJ in the No Fun League.
He looked plenty fast burning Leon Hall and the UM Safety for that final TD at the Rose Bowl.
Steve Smith also plays faster than his incredible 40 time. Precision in routes is key to maximizing your speed in getting separation.

DJ may not go in the top 10 or even the top 15, but tell me that both Norm and and SC Jeff Fisher are not drooling at thought of teaming him up with Forrest Gump (err) I mean Vince Young.
Good points, all. And beyond the rookie contract, better for Jarrett to go to a Tennessee or Jacksonville than Calvin Johnson tempt an Oakland with his sizzling 40-time.
If Dwayne is still on the board when Tennessee picks he will get picked up. Receivers as tall as Dwayne don't run sub 4.6 40's very often. (Just because C. Johnson is a freak of nature doesn't mean every 6-5 receiver should be held to his standard)
Dwayne is a legitimate, dangerous redzone target for any team lucky enough to have him.
I am still baffled by the dissappearance of BMW in Detroit though. I still say Mike Williams could be a great TE for some team - I don't know why teams insist on pigeanholing him into a WR spot. The dude is huge and could be a great receiving TE ala Tony Gonzales.
...oh and seriously Dwayne straight up embarassed Leon Hall in the Rose Bowl yet Hall is a surefire top 10 pick and Dwayne's stock is plummeting? How does that work?
The NFL apparently loves to second guess themselves into making stupid decisions. Ala Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Vince Young last year.
If DJ doesn't deliver next season - are we going to be comparing him to Mike Williams? Does he have an attitude problem? Does anyone but me think he should have thought twice and come back for his senior season?
