Fast Start

Yesterday, a Nebraska radio station called and the first question asked was about USC's untested wide receivers. For the first practice, sophomore Vidal Hazelton and redshirt freshman David Ausberry stood out. Ausberry looks big enough to play tight end and will fill the ``big receiver role'' even with Patrick Turner starting.
Hazelton's good impression is not surprising. He did the same thing in training camp before hitting a wall. It will be interesting to see if he avoids the same fate in the spring.

Tell me why a bug-eater is calling in to a pimp-in-the-box, and is worried about the WideOuts from Troy. Yo Bugaha, worry more about your Non-"O" and the loss of your on your "D", rather than about the "Studs" at Troy.

What wall did Vidal hit? Taylor Mays?

Your post is disgusting. Nationally, everyone knows USC key next year is development of receivers. So someone interested is not a "bug eater" and calling a reporter assigned USC is a smart way to get info.

If you think Wolf is Pimp-in-box what does that make you since you are reading him.

As to Nebraska, they will move the ball with Keller at QB.

Your comments poorly reflect on USC. You would do better for University to either get an education or stop posting.

Morantz, chill babeeeee.

Obviously you don't listen to Romey, since the post was full of "jungle" terms. And before you get your hackles up about MY post, know that on the Jim Rome show, that forum is known as the "jungle" by its host and listeners....

Moron, err Morantz, I'm not calling Scott the pimp-in-the-box, I’m calling the radio show host a pimp-in-the-box. Nationally, everyone know that the talent is at USC (that's why they are the pre-season #1). Yes, a question is at WR, but because of PC's game plan, these wideouts are a head of other college wideouts. As for Sam Keller, good luck, it didn't work out that great for Zac Taylor. And if the caller to the radio show was from Nebraska (Bugaha), then they are bug-eater, Moron... err Morantz

Kelphus, thanks for providing the enlightenment to Mr. Morantz about "Romey and the Jungle"! Fight On!

What wall did Vidal hit? Please explain? Are you stupid? All that BS about Pete playing the best is bull. Vidal by far was the BEST WR at Summer Camp 06. The things he does with so much as a flinch, PT seems like he is trying hard to do. USC had to give DJ and SM the opportunity to show their NFL worth. Even if Sanchez was the best QB. Aint no way in hell is Pete going to pass Booty. He has been loyal and that's the bottom line. I think Allen Bradford is the real deal. USC need to stop the Pussy footing with CJ and put Bradford in. Pete played Vidal but had no intensions of letting him shine over DJ or SM. None of their plays were set up for him to really showcase his talent. Watch the RBs this year. Someone is going to transfer. My guess is Stafon J.

Apparently someone is a little behind on the Sports Radio pop culture.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
