Just By Coincidence

Colorado coach Dan Hawkins is on campus today for a coaches clinic. Perhaps he can bump into Mark Sanchez to further fuel last week's Internet rumors after Sanchez watched his friend practice at Colorado.

May be Mark should consider transferring, if he feels that he can't cut it at SC. Either Mark should man up and battle for the #2 position, or he should re-evaluate his options. Meanwhile, fans and the media should back off of the kid and let him focus on what his future may hold. Adding pressure from the fans and the media can’t help (case in point, Tubby Smith at UK).

I know that it's the wrong thread..but WTF...here goes.. ReelBruin,Bill and the rest of you sorry ass yahoo's from the land of powder blue. You all suck getting your jolly's off here at Trojanville..BUT, being an honest and honorable sports fan..I have to give your babybloos some cred here after a fine ass whuppin of Kansas in the big hoops dance today. Your team deserves their props beating a team not only favored but "desired by the establishment" to move to the final 4 not only because the NCAA is in their backyard..but because Ks was ranked above you. Nice job, you earned it and you hopefully get to face the Ducks in the F4. You all still suck and should go home to your own blogs..but I still gotta hand it to you just as we will hand it to you next football season.

and I don't want any grief from any of my Trojan Brothers for giving them what they deserve..props are props and those little powder blue pansys deserve them...

Agreed, Gillyking. Credit where credit is due...but still looking forward to next year's battles at the Coliseum and the Galen Center.

Props to you guys for doing what you did this year. I mean, if people said at the beginning of the season that USC was going to the sweet 16, I think I'd die from laughing so hard.

If UNC didn't have such a strong bench, you guys def would've been fighting for the chance to go to he Final 4.

And much respect to Timmy for turning the program around.

Gotta agree on this one, I would much rather see a Pac 10 school win than someone like Ohio st. or that school in Gainesville..

Indeeed Gilly, and to reiterate uzair, a sincere extenstion of commendation is excersized to the Trojans. All the bs aside, both teams proved that LA will be no easy stop for ANYONE, let alone the Pac schools in the next 3-5 years. I wish Floyd would have been able to pull his troops together, along with Ernie. 3 teams in the final four would have been a clear sign as to who is the legit power across the country. Good luck to your kids as they make their decisions, I know Nick and Gabe have a tough and critical turning point starting today. We will se you next year and oh man, with KLove and Mayo making their entrance maybe we will have 3 of 4 or 4 0f 4 in the Finals next year. The Pac-10 is going to be ridiccccculous and ladend with talent. Go bruins.

Bruinchamp, one thing that does irk me is that in the games that SC, Oregon and Wazoo lost...the personal fouls defferential was badly against the Pac 10 schools. As soon as the 2nd half started, SC was quickly charged with 3 fouls on Taj and 2 on Young..taking them both out of their game. Oregon had 4 fouls on 4 of thier starters at the @15 mark of thier 2nd half. Wazoo was also at big foul differential in their loss. I'm wondering if the Pac 10 refs let the league get away with just too much or do you think that there could have been some hankypanky within the Zebra's? Also, having to have either the Ducks or the Bruins go through one another foiled one region, SC and WAzoo also would have eliminated one or the other to make it almost impossible for the best teams in the Pac to all make the F4.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
