usc should get a mobile quarterback it would help the ground game signifcantly usc would be really unstoppable stafon played qb/tb at dorsey maybe putting him at qb ot tailback wouldnt be bad plus we got offenesive weapons like reciever how about recruiting a mobile quuarterback image how much dangerous we would be no offense to matt leinart or john david booty but if we had somebody like a mike vick type or vince young type image how much dangerous we would be i hate that rocky hinds transfered years ago i think also coach needs to rotate the backs more because all these guys were the best in their state and at their schools so if they all get in we can win we would have first downs like a lot not just one man glory i think stafon cj emanuel and chanucey and the new guys should all play not just some this guys are equal talened almost so if everybody stays fresh we can be unstoppable everybody should get a turn what is up with herschel dennis also

I don't know whats worse. The lack of punctuation or the call for a mobile QB. First of all, USC has Aaron Corp if they decide they want to use a mobile QB. However, the program has done pretty well without a true running QB. I'm a traditionalist and I love what we have. If it ain't broke...

Amen to your statement Central Valley Trojan. muscleheadtailback, lighten up on the sentences, spelling, lack of punctuation and most off all, the Idea of a running QB. Last time I checked, Heisman for Carson (not a running QB), Heisman and 2 Championships for Mattie (not a running a QB) and a Heisman for Reg-gie (a mobile RB). The horses are in the RB stable and the fast ponies are coming in to join them.

Totally agree musclehead...these QB stiffs like Palmer, Leinhart and Booty are just killing USC! If we only had a mobile QB, USC could get back to dominating college football again!

Enough about muscle, but that was REALLY painfull to read! Johnson will not participate this spring due to off season shoulder surgery per the Times...

Buried under all the talk about muscle's posts was a good one by USC_89.
The expectations this year are incredible. Pretty much everyone is expecting USC to win the NC. So I don't think we are going to hear PC say many things like "We need some real improvement there" or, "I am concerned about the running game such and such a person is hurt."
I do agree that something has to be done with Stafon Johnson. He has too much talent to sit on the bench. Even just for his own sake, either play him or let him transfer. Wolf is posting now that CJ is getting most of the reps, so I would assume Stafon is on the practice team again.
I know he had surgery so hopefully they are waiting for that to heal and he will get some PT. I kind of get the feeling he is going to go down the Justin Fargas road, though. Eventually PC will ask him to move to safety, which he doesn't want to do, and he will transfer someplace else.
