Memo to Internet recruiting websites. Now we're hearing that Compton High defensive end Datone Jones is probably the shakiest commitment from the recent haul of prospects by UCLA.

Ol' wolf, your just saying that so USC fans will get excited and start talking trash about UCLA. Then UCLA fans will come back with 13-9 and it will all end with a lot of chest beating and no actual information being shared.

But ok.

bruinchamp said:

Scott, it what most true scouts call a "soft" verbal. Im sure youve heard of it, Broderick Green was a fine example out of your recruiting class last year. Lo and behold he signed with the trojans, shaky? havent you claimed that for almost half the recruits that were signed that day. To inform JP, he still has UCLA #1 on his list, but will shop around and will make all five trips. Not too uncommon of a practice for a March commit. Some actuall info, im trying to skirt my poor behavior. Go Bruins.

MUHAHAHAHAHA..... The internet geeks like JoeBruin,Antor,Derf,ReelBruin, ect. are crying to there great Traci Pierson, Rick Kimbrel, and Brian Dohn. Thuggy Bear aka Eric Scott will be in jail within 2 years. Pinto Bean Head Karlos Dorrell is the man!!

Patrick Meighan said:

I hate to repeat myself, but the record shows that Dorrell almost never loses a recruit once he's verballed. In fact, in his four years at UCLA, Coach Dorrell has failed to sign (and qualify) a grand total of *3* of his verbal commits:
*Chris Conte, in '07 (who had already verballed once to the school he eventually signed with: Cal)
*Walter Watts in '05 ('cause of grades).
*Kaluka Maiava, in '04 (who the Trojans legitimatly stole away from UCLA).

So if past is prologue, Datonte Jones is highly, highly, highly likely to be wearing powderkeg blue come January. Ditto for Hester, Moore and Woods (last week's candidates for Bruin-commits-who-supposedly-are-wavering).

Doubtless, you Trojans will sign a great class. You always do. It's just very unlikely that Jones, Hester, Moore or Woods will be a part of it.

Good post Phat Pat except you are wrong..again.CB Bryan Payton and LB Will Price both decommited from UCLA in 04 and went to Oregon State. Forgot about those huh? MUHAHAHA.

Bryan Payton and Will Price were both denied admission to UCLA. Forgot about that huh? You sound as stupid as Art_Vandalay.

13-9

Giorgio said:

OHHHHH. The old "We couldn't admit them excuse" Why did you take there verbal's in the first place then? Nice try. Go back to your Fat Brian Dohn and Traci Pierson with that crap. Those guys ditched you because your Special Ed coach is a moron. Eric Scott will be in jail within 2 years. YA! Betch.

JJH4USC said:

FYI - Patrick, it is usually not a good idea to start a sentence on a USC Blog with “but the record shows that Dorrell”...unless you are going to finish the sentence with: “is 1 - 3 all time against USC”; or “is 1 - 3 all time in 2nd tier bowl games” or “has a .592 winning percentage as head coach at UCLA.”

Bruinchump’s back...back again.

The only thing worse than a UCLA Graduate that spends his time all day long on a USC Football Blog (during the off season) is an inarticulate UCLA fan that did not go to UCLA and spends him time all day long on a USC Football Blog (during the off season). Bruinchump, leave Scott’s Blog to the Big Boys, and go back and work on using proper contractions and complete sentences before you start posting again.

And what is the deal with the continued influx of nuisance Bruin Fans on this Blog? At least the old school Bruins like ReelBruin and Hermosa Bruin were entertaining (even they are sick of these chumps). And are these Bruin Fans really so pathetic and envious of USC’s Football Program that four days before UCLA plays in the Final Four they want to talk about USC Football Recruiting?

PS - Bruinchump, have you been working on your Los Angeles Area geography lessons?

He won't last...why in the heck would he want to go to a school that is nowhere on the college football map and turns out 6-5 seasons every year complete with a beat down in a bowl game?

To wear those "powder blue" uniforms? That fantastic football legacy of justin medlock and 1 disputed national championship in 1954?

Or the fine education you get at a school with 50,000 students? We have the same here in Michigan, it's called Michigan state university, with an enrollment of about 45,000. Those places are diploma factories..did you go to class? OK you graduate.

He'll be on USC or Florida in a few months..

JJ, thank you for you kind words. So humble. Do you really want me to proofread everything i write here. Im sorry i did not know i was being graded by a low life Bloger like yourself. Everything you try to label me as, well i coould say about you, instead due to your lack of substance, peons like you dont effect my decisions on whether or not i post here. So continue to waste your breath now..

USC football recruiting? Huh? Wake up JJ, this post is about UCLA recruiting.

ReelBruin Author Profile Page said:

Here's my take: None of this matters until the teams take the field. If CKD falls flat this year with what should be a big year for him, none of those kids will stick.

Bruinchump - I am a “low life “Bloger”? I don’t know exactly what that is, but a “lowlife Blogger” is someone that wishes that they went to UCLA (but obviously did not), and spends their entire day writing inarticulate posts about the greatness of UCLA Football...on a USC Football Blog...during the off-season...2 days before UCLA plays in the Final Four!

And a typo here or there is just fine...I just ask for a basic grasp of the English language before you try to write smack with the Big Boys.

PS - Bruinchump, I see that you did not take my advice on the contractions. Seriously, it really isn’t that hard to type " ' "!

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis ObispoBruinFan - Wake up? I am wide awake...THIS is a USC Football Blog and I am a USC Grad...and you are a California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo Graduate that plays a UCLA fan on the internet.

And thanks, but if I wanted a pointer on agriculture you would be the first person that I ask, but leave the USC/UCLA smack to the real fans that lived it for 4 years (or 2 years for the UCLA grads that transferred from Community College).

Nuisance Bruins - Please take some lessons from ReelBruin on how to be a UCLA fan, and still manage to write articulate and substantive posts on Scott's Blog.

Patrick Meighan said:

Remember, though, when Scott posted just two weeks ago that Aaron Hester, Rahim Moore and E.J. Woods were, supposedly, wavering from their commitments?

What do they have to say now?

Aaron Hester: ""I'm as solid as solid can be... I couldn't get a better DB coach than Coach Walker and I feel very comfortable at UCLA. It's like family... I don't know who started that rumor of me de-committing, but it's not true."

Rahim Moore: "Of course I'm solid with UCLA. I'm solid like a rock. I really want to play for Coach Walker and thank him for recognizing my talents. I can't wait to be coached by him (Walker). He's more than just football, he's mentor to me on life... I'm not worried about rumors, I'm just going to be me. Keep trusting in God, keep finishing the race and achieve my goals. I don't know where those rumors are coming from and I don't care."

E.J. Woods: "I'm solid as a rock with UCLA. I'm even recruiting my high school teammate, Joseph Fauria to UCLA... When people thought I de-committed it was just a misunderstanding... When I get to UCLA we are going to beat USC again, again and again."

You can read it here: http://tinyurl.com/3yvtgk

So, um, it appears that maybe Scott's sources aren't quite so well informed.

What's with all the chatter about 2008 recruits? A lot can happen between now and then - like another USC national championship - or not. I am a lifelong trojan fan, and alum, and it's way too early to get so excited. Let's concentrate on spring practice and the spring game, and THIS season - the results will probably do more to determine next year's recruiting class than anything else.

Wow JJ are you this stupid in real life or do you just play dumb on the internet? I'm a UCLA fan and a Cal Poly fan; I know that concept is too hard for you to figure out.

This post by Scott is about UCLA recruiting, so guess what? UCLA fans are going to respond. As an SC fan, why are you commenting on a UCLA recruiting post?

P.S. I didn't go to SLO. Wrap your little mind around that one. Idiot.

bruinchamp said:

JJ, why does your school participate and provoke unaccepted practices more than any other school accross the country. Why do you attack Wooden, becuase at 96 he is still sharper than all the trojan intellect combined. Or is it the fact that even cheating off your gorde, Floyd still will not be able to put a championship run together. All the help in the world will not get that man a Title, he had Marcus Fizer at ISU, colleges highest paid athlete, even more than ol Regginald, result, multiple choke jobs. Carolina was not that good this year, your coach just found a way to loose focus, not call timeouts and send the game down the tubes. That must hurt, so close JJ but so far. Enjoy watching the entourage follow O "Jay" to your ghettto. He will fit right in, looking for a place to showcase HIS talent for the NBA, combined that with Floyd's antics and disaster is waiting. Congrats on D. Jefferson, he is the pinnacle of a student athlete, infact another 22 year old freshman magically recieved entrance to play ball for Floyd. Same Prep School same Home School as Taj, hmmm they must be beyond intelligent, at this point they should all be graduating with their PhD, but no instead they just barely finish the credits necessary to be admitted into the Clearing House.

And as far as Gilbert is concerned, whats your point. Everyone understands what role he played, he was with UCLA unitl '83. Now tell me Wooden only put those banners up becuase of Gilbert. During a time when race and war was flooding the country, Wooden was able to corral 10 guys 10 different times and dominate the land. Please, Wooden was a winner everywhere he went. He won as a player with Purdue, the man understands, teaches, motivates, and performs on a level well above any of us can ever dream of.

What about Mr. Bushes agent, there is concrete evidence he was present on sidelines, locker rooms, and trophy presentations. Two can play this game JJ. What about McKinght, how on National Television he declared that only days before he was on a conference call with Petey Pete and Reginald regarding the pending sanctions. What about the 300 pills of ecstasy found under Wrights bed. Why was he never brought infront of a jury, only removing him from the institution. Please, dont start with a pissing match. Dont ever attack my character, you do not know anything about me. Keep your life relevant to what you find important. Winning at any cost, regardless of who you run over on your way to self proclaimed glory. How can you be proud of a program as dirty as SC, and only produce one BCS title? Your self proclaimed Dynasty is a joke, call Wooden, hell call Gilbert he witnessed first hand what a true dynasty accomplishes. USC has done nothing but detract from the game, allowing steriod distributors to compete on the roster, removing Reginalds privilege to attend The Rose Bowl, yup a true Trojan Family. Hypocrite is an understatment to describe the SC family, claiming to stick their neck out in tough times, instead as quickly as Bush jetted to the league, Garrett abandoned his "son."

Also, do you get hard everytime you slander my character, I dont know you, you dont know me. When i hate, i hate on USC and trojoids, no personal attacks, but i will understand if your ego is so inflated that degrading others gets you through your everyday. I call it small man's syndrome, you may refer to it differently...

Aren’t all of the Bruin Grads....strike that... Bruin FANS a little testy today! I fell out of my chair laughing at these posts!

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis ObispoBruinFan - You did not EVEN go to Cal Poly but you are just a “Cal Poly fan”? Well I guess you are right, I find that concept a little hard to believe. How about in your next post you tell all of us Trojans about Cal Poly’s exciting 2008 recruiting prospects?

FYI - This website is called “Scott Wolf - Inside USC”...but I like how YOU think that I am the IDIOT and that I am the one on the wrong thread? You might be right if this were the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo Blog...and we were arguing about the various ways to till soil (if that is such a thing)...but it ain't!

And Chump, I hope you did not stay up all night to write that nonsense? A little insecure are we? Sorry, but my eyes started to bleed after the first few lines, so I had to stop reading. As they say...if you can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen!

Have a good weekend!

bruinchamp said:

Heat, haha thats only from the stench of bull shit that comes out of your mouth. You eyes bleed, and your telling me i have issues. You know you read every word but your puny, bit-sized brain could not gather a response. I will have a great weekend, I will be watching UCLA play in the Final Four, have you ever heard of this competition. They play in April, you know past the Pac-10 tourney. But thats all useless, right? Oh wait no I think well be hanging number 12 at Pauley, consequently hanging the 100th National Championsip. I will understand if three digits is tough to comprehend, thank you for proving everything i said correct. Go Bruins.

JJ your ignorance is absolutely mind boggling. Follow these simple instructions:

1. Go to www.google.com
2. Type in "Cal Poly"
3. Read the results

I didn't go to SLO. Think real hard about that statement before responding and making a bigger idiot of yourself.

Here's your second task for the day:

1. Read your original comments about Bruin fans talking about SC recruiting.
2. Read scott's original post.

Do you understand that this blog entry is about UCLA recruiting? Do you still wonder why UCLA fans might respond and want to talk about UCLA recruiting?

Wait never mind. I'm trying to reason with a Trojan. What the hell was I thinking. I forget that you guys are impervious to rational thought and logic.

Our lovely dialogues are becoming a little repetitive and tiresome.

JJH: You’re a hypocrite.

Chump: uh, no yuor a hypcrit

Chump - I give up, you win. Congratulations! Your posts are unintelligible, and arguing with you is like arguing with my Niece who is in 3rd Grade, except she is literate and knows what a contraction is.

PS- It is kind of funny that you get your kicks out of bashing an institute of higher learning when it is clear that you did not attend one yourself. (FYI - that is kind of being a hypocrite!)

JJH4USC said:

JJH : Cal Poly, why are you talking UCLA smack on USC Blog...when you didn’t even go to UCLA? And why are you a Cal Poly fan?

SLOWBruinFan: Uh, you are an idiot. Why are YOU (a USC Fan and a USC Graduate) on a USC Football Blog responding to a post that mentions UCLA?

California Polytechnic State University, San Luis ObispoBruinFan - You are too funny. I don’t really care what “Cal Poly” state school you went to...or are a "Fan" of. However, it amuses me that you get so fired up when I say California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo...so I keep rolling with it! And who says they are a “CalPoly fan”? That is like Chump saying he is a UC fan. Are you a fan of the every sports program in the entire Cal State system?

And now here is a little project for you:

1. go to http://www.insidesocal.com/usc/ (notice the SoCal and the USC in there).

2. When the page comes up you will “probably” notice that this is a USC Blog, and not the “Miscellaneous Cal Poly School Grad That Did Not Get Into UCLA, But Is Still A UCLA Fan Blog”....or you might not.

Unfortunately, I will see you and Chump in another thread that you knuckleheads have no business being on.

PS - Enjoy watching the school you did not attend lose to Florida for the 2nd year in a row. At least when they lose you can always say well, I didn't "really" care because I did not go to UCLA!

CalPolyBruinFan Author Profile Page said:

Ah JJ. Too funny.

You still don't get it and I told you how to look up the information. There are two campuses in the California State Polytechnic University. There is one in SLO and the other in Pomona. I say I'm a Cal Poly fan because I went to Cal Poly! I went to Cal Poly Pomona.

By the way, Cal Poly doesn't equal CSU, chief. You sure you actually attended college? I’m sure your Daddy regrets the day he handed over the trust fund.

What I find hysterical is that you get all worked up about Bruin fans posting on an SC board. It seems like your MO around here is to only attack UCLA fans. Maybe you can change your name to JJHagainstAllThingsUCLA. That would be more appropriate.

JJH: OMG! OMG! Go away Bruin fans! This is an SC board!

CPBF: This thread is about UCLA.

JJH: Uh uh, uh uh, this is an SC board.

Whatever. You were right about one thing. Your rants are getting very old.

JJH4USC said:

Fan - Well why didn’t you just say Pomona instead of being a smart ass? Pomona is a great school...academically...butit still doesn’t give you much credibility on a USC Football Blog (but I think we have already covered that topic). And I guess I can’t really blame you for spending your time and reading about Trojans Football on Scott’s Blog because there probably are not too many Blogs discussing Pomona’s dominance over Pitzer, Claremont McKenna or Harvey Mudd.

On a side note, one of my close friends attended Pomona (and played on the water polo team), but he tells people that he went to “Pomona”...not “Cal Poly”. Kind of like how my friends...I mean associates...that went to UCLA don’t say they went to “University of California” and are “University of California fans.”

And correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t you respond to MY post, and did I not give props to ReelBruin in my post above? I don’t hate all things UCLA (you certainly didn’t go to UCLA), and I like Brian Dohn. I even picked UCLA in my bracket to make it to the Final Four...before losing to Florida...again...chief!

Rahim Moore and EJ Woods sound like drones with their "rock solid" talk. It's just that, talk. Let's see 'em walk.

"hy do you attack Wooden, becuase at 96 he is still sharper than all the trojan intellect combined."

He's sharp, all right. He was at USC just a week ago Wednesday at a mixer, chatting with USC faculty, students, and coaches, including Pete Carroll.

"Or is it the fact that even cheating off your gorde, Floyd still will not be able to put a championship run together."

Defamation much? I know Floyd can do it, and I'm willing to bet he will.

"Carolina was not that good this year, your coach just found a way to loose focus, not call timeouts and send the game down the tubes. That must hurt, so close JJ but so far."

How about UCLA's marvelous Final Four fall?

"Congrats on D. Jefferson, he is the pinnacle of a student athlete, infact another 22 year old freshman magically recieved entrance to play ball for Floyd. Same Prep School same Home School as Taj, hmmm they must be beyond intelligent, at this point they should all be graduating with their PhD, but no instead they just barely finish the credits necessary to be admitted into the Clearing House."

I don't know any 22-year-olds graduating with PhDs. Most 22-year-olds are entering the job world or Master's programs. But talking about geezers just starting out, how's the Olson twin doing?

"What about Mr. Bushes agent, there is concrete evidence he was present on sidelines, locker rooms, and trophy presentations."

You need a question mark. Where's the evidence? I want conclusive video evidence, damn it! ;)

"What about McKinght, how on National Television he declared that only days before he was on a conference call with Petey Pete and Reginald regarding the pending sanctions."

Again, you should use a question mark. And McKnight called Carroll, whereas a coach had just been talking to Bush, and the information was relayed. It's like facts go in one ear and out your other.

"What about the 300 pills of ecstasy found under Wrights bed. Why was he never brought infront of a jury, only removing him from the institution."

Wright was to be sanctioned by student affairs after suspension from the team. But he left the university instead. Trust me, I was the one who followed the saga in the summer DT.

"Please, dont start with a pissing match. Dont ever attack my character, you do not know anything about me. Keep your life relevant to what you find important. Winning at any cost, regardless of who you run over on your way to self proclaimed glory. How can you be proud of a program as dirty as SC, and only produce one BCS title?"

You ask us not to attack your character (which we aren't), yet you turn around and insult us only one line later. Talk about hypocrisy.

"Your self proclaimed Dynasty is a joke, call Wooden, hell call Gilbert he witnessed first hand what a true dynasty accomplishes."

A truly impure dynasty. Nothing against Wooden, but there are always going to be asterisks.

"USC has done nothing but detract from the game, allowing steriod distributors to compete on the roster,"--no, Ting was suspended, and his brother left preemptively--"removing Reginalds privilege to attend The Rose Bowl, yup a true Trojan Family."--oh please, you know as well as I that he applied too late for a ticket.

"Also, do you get hard everytime you slander my character,"--actually, written defamation is libel, and you've done the same to us--"I dont know you, you dont know me. When i hate, i hate on USC and trojoids, no personal attacks, but i will understand if your ego is so inflated that degrading others gets you through your everyday. I call it small man's syndrome, you may refer to it differently..." You talk about hate, hating USC and "trojoids," and that's what differentiates Trojans and Bruins. We simply have a contention with UCLA over the rivalry, while you have a deep-seated envy of us that corrupts and manifests itself in hate.

"Heat, haha thats only from the stench of bull shit that comes out of your mouth. You eyes bleed, and your telling me i have issues. You know you read every word but your puny, bit-sized brain could not gather a response."

Really mature. What a well-thought-out argument! ::rolls her eyes::

"I will have a great weekend, I will be watching UCLA play in the Final Four, have you ever heard of this competition."

You really need to consider using question marks. And yes, we've heard of it. We saw you choke in it two years in a row. But that's okay, we'll be there next year to console you when you lose again and we garner our first (of many) basketball title(s).

"They play in April, you know past the Pac-10 tourney."

Right, we were in the Sweet 16. Not bad for a team picked to be sixth in conference.

"Oh wait no I think well be hanging number 12 at Pauley, consequently hanging the 100th National Championsip. I will understand if three digits is tough to comprehend, thank you for proving everything i said correct. Go Bruins."

Still waiting for no. 100, I see. The anticipation must be excruciating.
