In another pre-emptive maneuver, UCLA might offer Matt Leinart's super-baby a scholarship, even though he is only 6 months old.

Marquis already committed to the Trojans. The Bruins are too late.

He is literally "a Brojan."

What is that?

Does anyone else smell that?

It's like a pungent mixture of desperation and sadness with just a hint of despair.

Gotta give them props for trying really hard though. Guess that's where the "gutty" comes from.

Questions:
1. Will he commit to that public state school across town at this early date?
2. Are the Trojans interested and will they offer?
3. If offered by the Trojans, will he commit?

Of course with Scott Wolf you never know what is fact and what is fiction, but if what he has been posting is true, it's kind of dumb on USC's part.

I mean, why offer someone just so the University of Crud in Los Angeles DOESN'T get him?

Let them have their class with 9 2 star recruits and 1 4 star DE and think they are king of the hill...USC has bigger fish to fry...

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
