Does beating USC 13-9 during the regular season or losing in the Emerald Bowl count as a BCS bowl?

-Bruin Fan

That's a pretty low bar: getting into a Bowl game and making the tournament. 64 teams played in bowl games this last year and 65 teams make the NCAA tournament.

Sadly, SC has only managed that 2 times in the last decade (this year and 2001).

I know calpolybronco but just when are the Bel-Airians going to garner a BCS bowl invite?

'Love the latest Yogi Bear outfit especially that porcine female 'ursa'. Back to you Bel-Air lover.

Yeah, OK UCLA has an OK basketball team, although they did lose to CAL

OUCH

Then there is...umm..I don't know what else. Does UCLA have a good badminton team or something?

hahaha

Don't fall for the CalPolybruinfan, name thing. Cal Poly is a class institution and would never have a ruin fan among them. They just have too much class.

Wow, still celebrating that win by Cal are we USC1966? I guess if your team can't beat the Bruins on the field, or the hard court, then you have to celebrate victories by other schools. Bandwagon-on for Berkley! To be fair… if I was an SC fan, I would be desperate to cheer for someone else too.

Hey, when's the last time USC made the final four? Was it 1950 something or other? Calling USC a two sport school is like calling the posters on this blog Nobel laureates.

CalPoly - You've got some brass ones calling someone a bandwagon fan - when as your name suggests you are living though a school you didn't even attend. Do you see the irony here?

When your school beats USC in something of importance, let us know.

Scott, of those 21 teams, how many of them played in the NCAA Tourney and lost in the Emerald Bowl?

And ucla was not one of 'em.

Slay those Hogs this Fri. night, so we can have a crack at Texas.

Rex,

I've always been a Bruin fan. Just because I didn't attend the University doesn't make me any less passionate or dedicated to backing my Bruins. Now, if I was celebrating the Oregon win last weekend that would make me a bandwagon fan because my username doesn't suggest any affiliation with the Ducks. No irony here, but thanks for trying.

It is hard to beat SC in an important basketball game because you guys never seem to get into them. You're right though... it's just SC. 5 of the last 6 and still counting...
