Back From Oblivion

Perhaps the highlight of Saturday's scrimmage was the unexpected performance of tailback Hershel Dennis, who gained 22 yards on his first carry and scored on a 43-yard touchdown pass where he did most of the work.
``I don’t think I ever was washed up,’’ Dennis said. ``I showed the coaches and fans a little bit. I always knew I could do it.’’

Bravo!

Good for him! I feel bad for that guy...talk about bad luck..

washed up? No...but he sure coughed it up against Cal in 2003. Game on the line and he fumbles. Was never a big time player in my opinion, and I was personally glad to see him swept aside by bigger and better talent. Hopefully the same will happen this season.

Bigger and better talent....like CJ Gable?? Or Emmanual "Wannabe Bush" Moody? Fuck you and your hating on Hersh. Its players like Hershel Dennis who keep competing, even through injury after injury, that breathe life into Carroll's program. Hershel isn't just a football player, he's a baller that will kick it with you on the Row or in class. Classy guy who is getting his chance to shine.

Bruins Sucla Dix, scottware said it well, back off of Hershel. The kid has a world of talent (that has been superseded by injuries). Remember this, Reg and LenDale were both playing second fiddle to Hersh when they first arrived at Troy, and that was not by accident. The kid had, and still has "game".
