Depth Charge

If you look at the spring depth chart, Michael Coleman is listed at tailback when he should be a fullback.
By the way, Coleman was kicked off the team in January and banned from winter workouts, apparently to motivate him, before being reinstated before spring drills. He was unable to do much because of his long-time hip injury.
Coleman said he's always been willing to do whatever it takes to be a team player and wants to play at USC.
``I just want to be healthy and contribute, those are my goals right now,'' he said.

Good luck to him. I hope he gets on the field.

That's great attitude for Coleman to have, being a real team player. Everyone should take a lesson from that. Much luck and success to Michael.

This is the same Coleman that in Spring 2005 predicted he would take LenDale White's position that fall. Seems like he had brain damage long before he had hip problems.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
