Hamburger Hamlet
Several ex-USC players are playing in Germany for NFL Europe. Safety John Walker, from Van Nuys and allocated by the Houston Texans, had 5 tackles, an INT and one pass defensed for the Hamburg Sea Devils. His Hamburg teammate, cornerback Justin Wyatt, allocated by the Arizona Cardinals, also saw game action. In addition, former USC punter Tom Malone, allocated by the New England Patriots, had 3 punts for 136 yards (45.3 avg.) including a 52-yarder.

Good to see that Tom "the Bomb" Malone's leg has re-awakened. He punted maybe a total of 10 times that 2005 season. He was a key part of the prior 2 NCs and would just bury teams with field position

I hope that Tom Malone has much success in Europe, and that someone in the NFL says "yeah, that's the guy we want". The job may be open in New England if Denver gets its way with Todd Sauerbrun. Also, good luck to both John Walker and Justin Wyatt. Hopefully they will have a lot of success and will be picked up on the 40 rosters by both Houston and Arizona.

I met and spoke with Malone in '05, so it's fantastic to hear he's doing so well! Any news on other Trojans abroad (not just Europe)?
