High Hopes
Here's USC tailback Michael Coleman's list of five schools he asked to obtain a transfer release to: Florida, Cal, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Fresno State.
That's a lofty list but if Coleman doesn't settle his academic situation this spring, a better bet might be San Bernardino Valley College next fall.

Comments
Fresno & Florida would take him.
Florida would love to show recruits that SC already has too much talent and get them to not consider going with Pete.
Frenso will take him because...well, they are Fresno.

Notre Dame, Cal?...okay!
He could go to Santa Monica Community College and then transfer to UCLA after 2 years.

Transfer? Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me Santa Monica Community College and UCLA are two DIFFERENT schools?

If Michael is running into academic issues at USC what makes him think he'll be able to coast through ND or Cal. Florida and Nebraska aren't exactly academic wastelands either. If he passes this semester, sounds like a list of one.

Actually, less than 10% of UCLA's undergrads are JC transfer students. I also thought it was higher.

There is no way Pete lets him go to Cal or ND, two teams we play. Not to mention UF because they might be in a bowl game against us.
He can think Fresno and maybe Nebraska, but doubt it.
Here we go Fresno.

And wouldn't a inter-Pac-10 transfer cost him a 2nd year of eligibility without a year at JC in between.
Delta00 - We could make the same crack about Fig Tech, where your "student athletes" actually take classes. So shut it.

Go to UNLV!
hahahahaha
I hate to say it, Michael is a good kid, but if he is going to get the academic boot at USC he won't make it at Notre Dame or Cal...
Now Florida that's different..
