Does not seem like a fair situation. You have two No.1 prep QB from sucessive years and only one will start. Not likely PC would platoon QB's as JR did.

Might be better if Mustain picked Hawaii which would fit him and provide great coaching for NFL.

What's going on with recruit Kavario Middleton. At one point he was listed as having an offer, then no, then back to yes now it's back to no. I believe at one point his interest in SC was "High" now were not even listed on his profile. Is SC recruiting this guy or what and why the mix up with offer-no offer.

OK - here is the proper place to post the follow-on questions...

1. Use of the TE - we all had such high expectations for Fred Davis last year. But, it did not seem like he got the ball much (ala Dominique Byrd) downfield. Also, he did not seem to be able to use his athleticism to break the big plays (ala Greg Olson). Do you believe that this was due to the lack of a significant FB during the season being able to stay in an block? Was it because our run game never exploded and we needed the extra blocking to try to break open bigger runs?

We seem to run a very aggressive pass protection scheme, which is great for the receivers, but maybe not so great (last couple of years) for exposing the Tight Ends.

2. Speaking of FB - do you think someone like Broderick Green may get some looks at Fullback? This would be a way to get him on the field early. Does he have the hands for the way SC uses the position? Is it hard for a freshman to come in and learn this position? I have heard it is harder than RB b/c of the blocking assignments - they have to pick-out in the play, who to block even in the gap block scheme.

1. What's your take on J. Russell v. B. Quinn. I'm not a huge Quinn fan but I really dislike Russell's decision making. IMO the NFL is all about making right reads and less about physical attributes than people realize. Where's Jeff George now?

2. Is UCLA really a top 10 team next year? Will their offense be improved enough to merit a high preseason ranking?

Tyler, re:Quinn...I wonder who in the NFL could possibly be so hot after a QB who led his team basically nowhere? Who lost every game to his arch rival USC, and who lost every bowl game, including the ones that his mediocre teams only got invited to because of their name and the $$$train that follows the Irish. I think the kid from Stanford who was injured most of this past season is a better and smarter player. To me Quinn is a product of total media-hype.
