Perfect Timing

| | Comments (7) |

Sometimes, our timing could not be better. We ran into former USC wide receiver Mike Williams today, who got traded from the Detroit Lions to the Oakland Raiders.
``There were three or four teams interested,'' Williams said. ``A lot of people were calling me today telling me I was going to get traded.''
The trade reunites Williams with Lane Kiffin, who recruited him to USC. And one of the other teams interested in Williams was Tennessee. Williams said today was the first time he's been back to a public event (the track meet) at USC since he left. All those Lyon Center basketball sessions don't count.

Somebody tell me again how EWright did not get charged? I mean, even the ESPN guys know what a joke that was - afterall they just spent 8 minutes talking about it.

This can only help BMW. He needed a change from Detriot he knew he wasn't going to be there next year. That team in generally underachieves. Not that the raiders will be much better, but being reunited with Kiff should help to motivate him. I would like to see him turn it around and do well.

I must have missed the ESPN guys' graduation from law school and their acceptances into the District Attorney's office.

Thank God!! I am so happy for mike. I live in Detroit and trust me, this is football hell....where careers die a slow painful death due to incompetent coaches and "I couldn't care less" owners...

He will be a star now I bet

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
