Sports And Politics

Reggie Bush said he did not like politics when he was at USC but he couldn't resist an invitation to the White House Correspondent’s Association Dinner last night as a guest of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, telling Editor & Publisher, “I am just trying to broaden my horizons.''
Asked about how the post-Katrina rebuilding in New Orleans was progressing, Bush said, “It’s still a mess,” but thought President Bush was doing his best. “I’m pretty sure being president has got to be tough.”
When asked by a reporter at USC if he supported Bush because they shared the same name, Reggie Bush said, ``No.''

So is Reggie a conservative or liberal? This would affect my opnion on him.

What difference does it really make? Are you looking for an excuse to like/dislike the man?

It makes a big difference. I don't like liberals.

I don't like prejudiced and closed-minded people that are into categories and labels and searching for lazy-assed ways to dislike or disparage large segments of the population. But this has nothing to do with football, so why bring it up?

Thank you BeverlyHillsBoys.

The whole Liberals v. Conservatives thing has gotten way out of control. You would think the US is divided into 2 groups that have absolutely nothing in common. While one group is saving the world is the other group busy eating babies?

I am pro-choice but think that it would be wrong to pull out of Iraq.

I think George Bush has made terrible, unforgivable mistakes as president but would have voted for McCain in 2004.

I think global warming is a real threat but don't have a problem with a citizen's right to bear arms.

What group do I belong to?

Everything in politics isn't black or white. I just wish more people would weigh all the things that matter to them before making decisions rather than just trying to fit into pre-determined groups.

Not all of us have the same priorities. It doesn't mean that half of us are evil.

(This is my first and last political post on this blog.)

Dear Everyone,

Nobody cares about your politics on this USC Football blog.

Love,
Everyone.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
