Spring Hole
If tailback Hershel Dennis was a surprise of spring practice, the disappointment had to be tailback Emmanuel Moody, who missed nearly the entire three weeks with a hamstring injury. Moody was the only player on the current roster with breakaway speed out of the backfield and this was a prime opportunity to show it before Joe McKnight arrives.
A Pac-10 coach told me last season Moody was the only tailback that worried him, although he played only sporadically in the second half of the season.

How serious is his injury?

It is a little un-fair to call someone a letdown when he was injured.
Now if he was healthy and sucked, that would be a letdown.

I agree with Trojan JP. While it was unfortunate for Moody and the Trojans that he was unable to go for much of the spring, calling him a disappointment is again harsh. It also sounds as if his only playing sporadically for the second half of the season was his fault. He was in fact injured with a severely sprained ankle, giving CJ a chance to shine.
Why does the wording of many of your postings convey conspiracy or negativity when there are often simple explanations?
