If something was learned from Sunday's scrimmage, it might be that wide receiver/sprinter could serve a situational role next season.
Holland proved effective on a reverse and that might be his niche next year.

And now in the game... JAMERE HOLLAND... the Trojans designated reverse-runner. If that's all he can do, better not use him more than a couple times all year. Other coaching staffs do have noses and will sniff that out, except maybe for the domers and FUCLA. I say put him on the outside, use his speed and throw him the long-ball to stretch the field.

Senior walk-on Brad Walker has seen backup action in 31 games in his career, but has yet to catch a pass. I'm sick-n-tired of the decoy action, playing 10-on-11. Use Holland to his fullest or keep him and Brad Walker on the bench.

Ummm....AlwaysBeatND....13-9 says our coaches are a bit smarter than that.

That type of play seems to be the only way we can get rushing yards...better keep him healthy...or hope McKnight is what is promised...We have Bradford averaging a whopping 3.5 ypc in scrimmage so far.

I have never seen so many people so happy that they finally won 1 game after 7 years..I will have to invent a new level of pathetic for these UCLA fans hahaha

Although there is no team that makes me wanna puke worse than Notre Dame...if UCLA blows it AGAIN this year vs. "The Irish" "reelbruin" "13-9" and these others are gonna have a problem with me..

Ummmm... Reelbruin, 13-9 only says that the bruins won a fluke game that required a last-minute tipped pass to end a game winning drive against a team that just finished 3 straight weeks demolishing teams that schooled your bruins and was looking ahead to the national championship game.

I'd point to the 7-6 record and a spanking in a fourth-tier bowl game in a baseball stadium as more indicative of your coaching staff.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
