Fire The Schedule Maker!

The USC baseball team is 24-23 as they play Arizona this afternoon but the Trojans have the No. 1-ranked schedule in the nation according to Boyd's World.com and a surprising RPI of 46, so an NCAA bid is a possibility if they finish strong.
Now if new coach Chad Kreuter would just get tossed from a few games to remind me of the king, Mike Gillespie, it would be an even better year.

I am not sure how to comment...23-23 doesn't sound too impressive...tough schedule or not. We are not playing Tulane everyday..USC baseball used to be good.

I don't know why they hired Chad Kreuter. He used to be here and catch for the Detroit Tigers and he wasn't anything special. Why is he doing to be a great manager?

I heard we have a top notch recruiting class coming on so hopefully that will help.

This is a program that needs to be brought back to the glory days like the football program.

And Gillespie was no Dedeaux either!!!
Give Chad a chance, although I also questioned his selection, which was also done in a very hasty manner.

I agree with Rick. Pete was no overnight success either.

And I don't believe someone's success as a player is indicative of their coaching abilities. Is 1966 suggesting USC hire Barry Bonds as coach as soon as he retires?

There is only one king, and that was Rod Dadeaux.

Period.

Well lets give Chad a chance. I dont think Rod Dedeaux was an overnight success either. If its correct as a poster above mentions that he has a top class coming in. Then lets be patient.

It would be nice if we could get into the playoffs at 25-23.

Fight On

Kreuter has always been managerial material. I thought he was a good, smart catcher. If I am looking for a head baseball coach or manager, one of the best places to look is for ra retired catcher. Hopefully he can teach.
