German Gridiron

Hamburg teammates Justin Wyatt and John Walker probably did not further their NFL hopes this week as the Amsterdam Admirals scored 41 points against their defense in a 41-31 victory. Wyatt started and recorded two tackles and a pass defensed while Walker started and recorded one pass defensed. Punter Tom Malone’s Berlin team lost at Frankfurt, as Malone punted four times for a 43.5 average and a long of 55.

Malone will get a look this summer. He's posting consistant stats and will be available at a bargain. Who's the Raider's punter?

Good for Malone. Too bad for JW2

Just curious, in Germany, do they play football in yards or meters? If in yards, how do the Europeans figure it out?

As far as I know, the Raiders still have Shane Lechler on the roster as the punter. Tom won't get a look there, even though Kiff is all about stockpiling Trojans. Lechler's an All-Pro with a 46.1 yard career average. He averaged his highest total last year, 47.5 yards, so he's among the best in the league, if not the best.

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
