I guess in earlier times they didnt have in mind about color contrast between the 2 teams uniform colors. In virtually every black and white photo from games in the pre years you cant tell one team from the other because in many case both teams uniforms are dark. Undistiguishable in black and white print.

I guess they never had in mind that there would be no contrast in the printed media.

SW, its great to see these photos. Any chance that the archives have pictures from other decades (50's, 60's, 70's & 80's)? Outstanding work continued by you SW.
