Scott,

I was curious as to who recruiting the Los Angeles area in relationship to this current arriving class? I dont think we brought in a single player from Los Angeles Inner City proper. Actually I believe Smith from Taft High was one of the only L.A. City High School players period in our the current class coming in.

In one of my past post related to your continuing to mention the fact the USC and UCLA were going head to head on scouting L.A. Inner City kids. I thought you were harping on that topic too much. However maybe you have a valid point.

The fact is we have either not thought there was talent of the level in the inner city that was good enough or we have just dropped the ball on taking a serious enough look at these kids. Maybe its the former.

Is that it? I heard they have one guy that just bought a house across the street from L.B. Poly to keep an eye on the Trojan Factory.

I have my doubts about that

I dont know lb poly is real ghetto area.

It was a joke.

No

Yes, it was a joke.

...sarcasm just doesn't play well on the internet.

What is the national breakdown?

Yeah could we get a national breakdown Scott?

Thanks!

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
