Long Beach (Calif.) Poly defensive back Vaughn Telemaque is a star who’s just beginning to shine. Wolf do you know if USC is ready to offer this guy. Jurrel casey said he wants to committe the same he does.

I don't know anything about him and I am sure he appreciates your compliment, but handling the charges he has had for USC athletes does not make him "super" lawyer and I am not sure there is really such although some lawyers have more judge credibility and jury magnitism.
But I would bet he is very good, has good relations with USC, D.A., Judges and his past USC athletes greatly appreciate what he has done. The proof is they keep coming to him.
He has seemingly never tried to exploit it and I bet has been generous in his fee to young kids.
Unfortunately, what can be done in D.U.I is often limited because of way statues read. The sentences are suppose to be somewhat uniform, though discretion does exist. In the end it is often how much alcohol.
From my view, a murder trial is easier more often even for the greatest of "Super" lawyers.
In D.U.I the testimony will be often the car swayed all over road, the driver dropped the keys getting out and almost fell and then flunked all the coordiantion tests. Driver reaked of alcohol and had thick and slurred speech. And oh yes....the alcohol blood level. Or maybe he would not consent. And maybe two officers saw and are shining in their blues in front of a jury.
Been a long time since I did a criminal trial, but the cases most staked against you seemed to be DUI's and back then the law had more lattitude.
Changes over time, however, are probably for better. If Josh had high alcohol he needed arrest so he and others grow and learn from it. And the lives later maybe vanquished will remain clueless to the fate that is no longer theirs.

I personally think it's sad that there is any attorney identified as "USC super attorney" because of exactly what that implies. I personally would hate for there to be an attorney known as the "UCLA super attorney" because that would mean your program needs one. I think this is shameful.

Ah ReelBruin again...
Scott is the only one who has used the term 'super lawyer' when referring to Trutanich. The last time I checked one guy calling him that does not make it so.
I doubt Trutanich's business card says USC "super lawyer" on it and would hardly say that he has been identified as such by the University. Unless Scott now works as an official PR rep for USC his definition of Trutanich as a super lawyer holds no merit.
As another example:
Let's say that I refer to ReelBruin as UCLA's Super Douche in my post. Does Super Douche now become your official title? I hope not.
Your consistent bitter, uneducated posting on a USC board on the other hand might help you attain that title eventually.

Tyler, everybody knows that Trutanich is the "USC football player attorney." It's common knowledge. That is the single thing that Trutanich is MOST known for - you know it, I know it. His relationship with the DA while handling Trojan cases came under scrutinty last year. I think the more educated among you recognize that as well.
Yeah, sometimes I flame a bit and indulge in the rivalry, but I do try to also post objective takes from, and but my post on this topic is objective and honest. I think it's simply a sad statement that any DIA football program needs its own player attorney.

ReelBruin: I suspect that the only reasons that UCLA has no "super" attorney is that (1) any moron athlene that fraudulently obtains a handicapped placard and uses it on campus is a lost cause and cannot be defended; and (2) no prominent attorney wants to be associated with the UCLA football team, or is it just that the USC program is more newsworthy, for obvious reasons?

SoCalMAB - that's not even worth dignifying. Lots of shit went on under Toledo, but nothing comapred to USC and nothing at this level. And it doesn't happen anymore, whereas you guys can't stay out of the news. Trutanich is newsowrthy and noteworthy most for being the personal criminal attorney for the USC football team -accept it and move on. It's disgusting. I certainly hope no prominent attorney NEEDS to be associated with my football team!!!!
