38 Seconds
That's how long Johnnie Morton lasted tonight before being knocked out by Bernard Ackah and being taken away on a stretcher. He was unconscious for at least two minutes and needed a minute to remove his mouthpiece, according to this website, mmanews.com http://www.mmanews.com/page.php?page=k-1_exc_dynamite_usa_results
Next career move, please.

Yeah, we were there Scott! Pretty bad if I had to say so myself!
Honestly, you were right when stating in the forum answers that you did not want to think of Johnnie's debut....I was scared he was seriously hurt after that punch. Terrible career/life decision to join MMA.
"Johnnie made his debut at K-1: Dynamite!! USA, losing to Bernard Ackah in just 38 seconds via knockout. After the fight Johnnie was suspended and denied his purse after refusing to take a post fight urine test."
Looks like Johnnie was juicing as well.
Once a Trojan, always a cheater is what they say right?
OK. So 6 months from today. In the Coliseum. We will dominate your Trojan team! Just like Morton went down at the Coliseum tonite, you will go down to us!
Think of yourselves as the Johnnie Morton's of the world, and his opponent as UCLA. Get used to it on the gridiron!

For those Trojans who do not know how to use a computer (almost all, right?), the link Scott provided is for the entire card. Johnnie's fight was #5.
I took the liberty to copy and paste the Jonnie Morton fight info. from that website here.
---------------------------
Fight #5:
-Johnnie Morton vs. Bernard Ackah
Round 1: Intense staredown. Morton comes out blazing with strikes. Now he's trying for a takedown. Morton is very intense and gets the takedown. Ackah is back up though. The two are slugging it out. Ackah completely drops Morton. He is totally unconscious.
Bernard Ackah def. Johnnie Morton via KO (punch) at 0:38 of Round 1.
NOTES: Morton is still out, we're going on at least two minutes. They're putting a hard collar on him and strapping him to a stretcher. It took them over a minute to even take his mouth piece out. Commentary is focusing on Morton not being prepared when this is a scary situation. Looks like he's somewhat coming to now.
--------------------------
Like I said....I was there. Pretty scary.
BUT NOT AS SCARY AS THIS DECEMBER!!!!!!! (FOR YOU GUYS!)

WHY DID I HAVE TO BET SO MUCH MONEY ON HIM????!!!!
This was my worst bet since I gambled on Charlie Parker to beat Hulk Hogan at Madison Square Garden in 1986!!!

Not only did he get knocked out, but after the fight he got suspended for refusing to take his post fight drug test. He won't get his $100,000...

For those that didnt see it, Morton was KO'd (as in out cold) with one punch. And the guy who KO'd him, is a stand-up comedian!! No joke. Well there is a joke, and it was Johnny Morton trying to fight.

Scott, a good idea is take all 13-9 post and send them to forensic psychiatrist and then post results.

Here is a better link. It shows how long it took to get Morton back conscious again, just like we will do to you in December!

Go to 4:30 into the youtbe and they show a slow-mo of the hit. Not much magic there - just walked right into it.

Don't feel bad Petingtong, Hogan was due for a fall - just like the Globetrotters when I put money on the Washington Generals.
Anyway I gotta say, bad career decision for Johnny. But from what it seems, that's how those fights go. I believe seven of the ten fights ended in the first as did Liddell vs. Jackson's UFC Title Fight.
Regardless, I hope he doesn't fight again.

Sounds like Johnnie should leave the fighting to more experienced people like Ricky Manning Jr. I bet he dropped that guy with the laptop computer in less than 38 seconds.

38 =
1. Seconds Johnnie Morton lasted in his first fight
2. The number of seconds UCLA was actually in 6 of the last 8 USC-UCLA football games
3. The number of NCAA titles in insignificant sports claimed by UCLA
