Boys To Men

You expect an NFL veteran like Peyton Manning to look bigger and stronger than his college counterparts.
But what struck some well-known onlookers Tuesday was how skinny Mitch Mustain looked compared to John David Booty. And Aaron Corp looked even thinner.

Yeah, but MM looked pretty good when he scored a TD on us last year. He moved the ball well and was pretty quick. I'm glad they didn't have him the whole game - we could have hurt him :) !
The trainers will take care of the rest.
Fight On, we're on a roll for another great year, even w/recruiting!!!

them well known onlookers dont know anything about physique than because mitch mustain is anything but skinny... he's not sanchez's build but he's muscular corp on the other hand is skinny

Mustain and Corp haven't had years of training under Chris Carlisle yet either. Booty and Sanchez have, so they will have the physical advantage.

Booty has put on too much weight in the off season and has a huge belly now that he needs to get rid of ASAP.

Mustain is thinner, but far more muscular and athletic.

Sanchez is also overweight and needs to lose weight. He's too slow and weighed down by tree trunk legs.

McDonald in is in great shape. Very muscular, thin and athletic.

Green is in good, but not great, shape.

Haven't seen Corp yet to form an opinion.

Saying that Mustain is skinnier than Booty is like saying that Kate Beckinsale is prettier than Rosie O'Donnell!

It's an obvious statement, but it's all relative. Yes, Mustain is thinner than Booty, but he is in absolute peak physical shape and ideal for a quarterback. He is hardly skinny, but just skinnier than Booty, which is not saying much.

Mustain has nothing to worry about physically. He's a great athlete and will represent USC well.

Fight On!

It's called the Chris Carlisle effect.

MM won't be so skinny this time next year.

Props to Carlisle... a silent but instrumental part of USC's success.

So from what I can gather, Booty is fatter than Mustain and Corp is skinnier than Mustain.

Is this really even an issue?

From everything I have seen of Mustain, he looks very fit and muscular, and I do not think anyone, objectively, would ever refer to him as skinny.

I suppose we need our weekly feed of Mustain stories, no matter how trivial.
