Not a big surprise that the Trojans would be named the pre-season #1 team.

Pre-season rankings are one thing, but giving out individual first and second team awards to players before the season even begins? Isn't that a little silly? How about we play a game first before declaring who the best players are...

They should just call it a watch list instead. That's what it really is.

Relax, dude. These are called PRE-SEASON honors, which in most cases (i.e., non-Bruin cases) means they're not given DURING or AFTER the season, but BEFORE the season. "Pre-" derives from Latin for "before". See how that works, silly?

Stand up and applaud, Californians. This is your tax money's potential realized.

Booty is the #1 Most Overrated QB!!! #1 Choke!!! He couldn't beat two teams that don't play defense!!!

#1 in the Arrests and NCAA Violations!!!!

Cheat On!!!

Bil , bill bill. Such sour grapes.......So you are saying that all these sports writers and evaluators are all dumber than your little bruin-mind?? I find that hard to believe. Look pal, here's how it works, your gutty little bruins (yea I know 13-9, hold on to that, you'll need it 20 years from now for a great moment in b-ruin history DVD)need to win on a consistent basis over teams better than Cal State Long Beach etc........one win over SC isnt gonna cut it bud. SC has re-established itself as a Football Powerhouse, by appearing in multiple BCS bowls , numerous All Americans, Heisman Trophy winners etc. Thats how you win the hearts and minds of people. Not by regurgitating 13-9 or flapping about the 100 ncaa titles your ladies have brought to Westwood.

Wow reddawgg, you're pretty dense. I realize these awards are "pre-season". I even mentioned that in my post. My point was that naming first and second teams in the pre-season is kind of silly. At least Harvey figured that out.

I sure hope you didn't actually attend USC. What a waste of time and money.
