Happy Camper

Talk about a dream day. Evan Smith, a 6-7 forward from Calabasas High School, was just happy to participate in USC coach Tim Floyd's basketball camp but ended up playing in a pickup game late Saturday night as a teammate of Trojans guard O.J. Mayo and against rapper Master P.
``I had no idea,'' Smith said. ``It was great. I couldn't believe it.''
Smith not only held his own in the games, he was one of the better players, hitting several 3-point shots and rarely making a mistake. He will only be a junior next season but opened a lot of eyes.
``It was ridiculous how quick everyone was,'' Smith said.
