SWEET

Scott,

Is that a new trend for incoming Freshman to come in early, to attend summer school, thereby officially being allowed to work out with the team?

This is the 1st year I have seen so many of the freshman come in before the 1st week of camp. Which traditionally they would have a camp for the frosh the 1st few days.

I guess with the increase competition there is the need for these kids to get in early.

Football and Basketball specifically are becoming year around sports. Everyone wants to get an edge. Recruiting has become year around. They are now grabbing kids in the 8th grade.

Scott,

I meant to say above that I guess its good for the kids to be able to attend summer school. It allows them to adapt to college life before the fall semester. This takes a lot of pressure off them. Not having to deal with a full class load. They can earn credits for 1 or 2 classes. So when the regular season starts they can take say 12 units instead of the 16 units. This helps immensely when kids are having to spend 3-5 hours a day on the practice field and in football meetings after practice.

AWESOME

Guess we are the only 3 readers up this morning--leaving good comments on every post! Re Green--SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!
