Memo To Pete Carroll
Last week, Pete Carroll flew to Oakland to watch the Raiders practice and raved about how similar the workouts resembled his own USC practices.
Now comes word the Raiders canceled the final week of their offseason training after the NFL players' union complained about the intensity of practices.
``The union has complained about the high level of intensity, player aggressiveness and fast pace of our practices,'' Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said.
Maybe Carroll will think twice before he talks to the next NFL team about the difference between coaching NFL and college players. Then again, knowing Carroll as well as I do, he's already figured out a way to solve this problem if he ever needs to.

What a bunch of freakin' cry babies! Maybe they should give back all of those big bonus checks Uncle Al passed out and head for Denver!

If USC wins NC it would fun to see them play an NFL team.
Remember McKay gave NFL champs some hard times against NFL, perhaps a bottom feeder. He told me he could do better with just his team, not allstars, because they could execute his offense. Two weeks with allstars was not enough.
This also gives confirmation for me, however, that PC's pace has injuries as side effect

OK, this is strange. Why don't you elaborate, Scotty? How is Pete going to solve this problem if he goes to the NFL, since you know him so darn well...?
