About Face

We saw Lawrence Miles on campus last week and were assured he was still on the team. But today we hear that Miles is off the team and no longer attending USC. Sounds like another scholarship just opened up.
UPDATED: Miles will attend junior college with the intention of transferring. But is not expected to return to USC.

USC has a lower APR than most credit cards.

This news has been reported on WeAreSC since May....

If this news has been on WeAreSC since May, why are folks over there suprised to hear it?

It hasn't been reported since May, but it has been suspected since the news that Tatum was transferring also broke.

3 thoughts on all above:

1. I never even saw Lawrence Miles play although I would see him listed online as having participated. I know he was always hurt so that is too bad. Good luck to him wherever he goes. It's a shame things didn't work out for him and J. Schweiger and A. Perez and M. Coleman at USC.

2. Les Miles is running his mouth because he feels Urban Meyer trash-talked his way into the NC game last year so he is trying the same. Hey, whatever works. He is not like Jim Harbaugh, who is just plain stupid.

3. In Post #1 we have more anti-USC garbage. And this coming from a UCLA fan, which is not exactly an academic school to begin with. And of course we have heard this kind of drivel 10,000 times before from USC haters. But here is some more to brighten up my day when I am just looking for a little Trojan info..

At this point, I gotta ask you Scott, Are you helping USC football or hurting it with this blog? Because to me, you seem to be providing an golden opportunity for anti-USC people to post their hate.

I know you have alot of info but USC fans have other places to get updates. www.wearesc.com or the displaced Trojan or ESPN or scout.com. What were 90% of all the posts about the last time you had a "forum"? "Ban this person" "Ban that person" "Scott do something about this blog" "Scott this blog is being ruined you need to act."

While other boards are run properly and provide a place for the fans to get updates, and speak with other fans in a nice environment, this is pretty much a place for any and all UCLA, Notre Dame, or just anti-USC fan in general to come and vent and insult USC and made USC fans feel inferior.

How is that helping PC and the Trojans?

USC1966,

Wolf's job is not to help PC or the Trojans. His job is to provide information about the program to his readers.

I would also say that nothing that is written here has a real impact on USC or the football program. If some bruin comes here and says something stupid about USC, what damage has really been done?

I love this blog and this is the first place that I come every morning for updates on the program that I would not be able to get anywhere else.

I understand your point cstory80. Obviously PC and Rey M don't care, or something like that.

But if you look at the last forum I think you would see that about 75% of the people on here agree with me.

(And this was actually posted by someone else)

This is what other fans see on this USC football website...racial slanders, curse words, references to Hitler and people screaming at each other, which I am sure doesn't make USC look good and damages it's reputation.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
