Georgia coach Mark Richt recently spent a week a Honduras where he ``gave testimony,'' spent time at a day-care center each day, played soccer each afternoon with villagers. He promised to return next year and perhaps bring some Georgia players next week.
Funny, we thought college football coaches only went to Central America to interview for the Miami Dolphins job.

If Mark Richt would stop squandering his talent and beat someone, he'd be pursued into the jungle by the NFL, too.
I agree with Mike. I'm a huge fan of UGA. But if he could just beat Florida every once in awhile, he'd be NFL material.
He should spend a little less time in the jungle, and a little more time coming up with a plan that will surprise Urban Meyer in Jacksonville.
I think it's admirable that Richt would set aside time to do this and try to obey his religious calling.
On the flip side, I can only hope that he, unlike numerous other D-I coaches, doesn't just throw his ethics/morals aside for the sake of winning a ballgame.
Fine, I'll name names - I'm talking about you, Bobby Bowden! I may need to brush up on my theology, but isn't INTEGRITY a central tenet of Christ's teachings?
