Crunching The Numbers

With Josh Tatum transferring and Jordan Cameron spending a year at Ventura College, that means two scholarships are available. Let's hope punter Greg Woidneck finally gets one. He only saved USC in at least one game last season (Washington State) and is the only starter not on scholarship.

Amen to that!

I agree he should get one but I don't see it happening...if there is 1 scholarship left, and it comes down to giving it to Greg Woidneck or 1 more recruit which could win the mythical "recruiting national championship" for USC I don't think there is going to be much of a debate..

Hi USC1966 How are you doing today? I think Scott means for fall '07 I don't think much is left in the way of recruits for next season--transfers have to wait a year--but if a good one surfaces between now and 9/07, I agree with you.

I am pretty good tire..thanks for asking

:o)

What l966? Punters don't win NC titles. Do not bother to give them scholie?

They put in time and dues like anyone else and it would be a travesty that a starting punter does not get a free ride. USC cetainly not likely get another of quality.

I hate to see Josh go. I have been very concerned about his position on the Depth chart. I think this was inevitable due to some unnceccsary recruting of out of state LB's. If we are not already well stocked at LB's, PC is trying to recruit a phenom out of Gaston, Alabama. This competition thing is out the window. There is a limit as to how many can compete for one position.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
