Dept. Of Investigations
USC's compliance office is still conducting its investigation into recruiting dinners at Papadakis Taverna. This originally became an issue right before the USC-Texas game and players were interviewed last November during the week of the Cal game, much to the chagrin of the football program considering what was at stake that week.
Some believed the investigation was wrapped but we've confirmed that it is alive and well. It's important to point out that compliance offices work independently from the athletic dept. and work on their own time frame.

Wouldn't it be ironic if SC busted itself over a simple dinner for the team but nothing happens after Reggie and family took 100 of thousands of dollars in benefits?

That would be a very cruel irony.
Luckily Reggie is clean, as is USC.

This story was manufactured by the Texas press just prior to the Rose Bowl. One of their accusations of impropriety was that the drive from campus to the Papadakis Tavern was over thirty minutes, thus it was not just a local eatery. Just took me an hour to drive from Westwood to Santa Monica. Spare me the Longhorn bellyaching.

The irony is Petros is always bashing Reggie for bringing down the university. Talk about throwing stones in a glass house.

Is the compliance office over-zealous besides being slow? The reality is-there's just nothing there- the distance factor is gone and if the elder Papadakis said he enjoyed his time at SC, well, so what?

Folks, Reggie is about as clean as OJ. You do realize whose house his parents were living in, right? If he was innocent, he would have tried to clear his name and USC's name legitimately, rather than reaching an out of court settlement with con men. And then there are those Vegas receipts...get over it.

Do you even live in reality? If he didn't do it, he would have cleared his name legitimately??? That doesn't even resemble the "reel" world. People, companies and organizations settle all the time...not because they are guilty, but because it makes sense.
PS...his parents lived in someone else's house (allegedly)...double homicide...yeah, that's comparable.
Sanctions aren't coming...get over it!
