Do You Know Kiffin?

A former USC walk-on who has not played football for three years recently said he was contacted by former offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and invited to join the Raiders.
Since he already snapped up 32-year-old quarterback Josh Booty (out of football since 2003) what's next? Team managers? Student trainers? Former secretarys?

I understand your point Scott but remember, he is dealing with the worst team in the NFL.

desperate times call for desperate measures

I completely agree with USC1966. I've heard that the offensive line is so thin that they are thinking about signing Daunte Culpepper to play left tackle.

I think thats the norm that a lot of teams invite a number of players to camp to take a look at them. There are no guarantees to the players. I believe the hope is that they will find 1 or 2 diamonds in the ruff coming out of preseason.

I hope you are aware of the usual suspects here. They are the Mark Sanchez haters. I wonder about their reaction to you having a Spanish name.
Thank you

Re the Sanchez-Mustain debate---I say let the better man win. Who cares if he is white, brown, black, yellow, red or striped?

I am thinking that it is Kevin Arbet.

I am thinking that it is Kevin Arbet.

Kiff's gotta have his share of Brad Walkers. He does love those slow, easily to discern play indicator-guys like Walker.

"Hey, #48's in the game, no need to cover him, he's a blocker. Swing pass coming!"

I am thinking it is someone on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe Jason Mitchell?

I think it has to be someone on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe Jason Mitchell?

Yeah no kidding Juan..I should go down there and try out myself..

I don't mind the Raiders and unfortunately they are just plain awful...

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
