False Alarm
We hear TMZ.com or some Matt Leinart-approved media outlet will probably announce today a settlement for $15,000 per month for child support but our sources tell us no agreement's been reached and the reports will be premature.
UPDATED: We were actually guessing about the media outlet when we wrote this item but it turns it we were right as TMZ.com is erroneously reporting the settlement.
OK Scott, here is what I don't get... If Leinart's people are feeding this obviously false stuff to ex-KCBS news gopher and ex-People's Court standin Harvey Levin, won't August 13 be a really big day of reckoning?
More to the point... I'm sure for $15K/month, Mitch Mustain would be Leinart's baby mama and fly out to PHX with the kid on weekends. But how would that affect his eligibility?
$15K a month! Totally insane. How many of our kids on this blog required 15K a month for necessities? That's rediculous! I don't make $15K a month and my kids got all they need on far less.

My rents raised me and my brother on a combined 120,000 a year, and we lived quite comfortably.
That is just insane, she is not even going to have to work, she can just sit back, and collect Matt's NFL money.
You guys are hilarious. Most of us here are men, and as men, if we get married/divorced or have kids out of wedlock, we know that our paychecks will be significantly affected. Why are you guys piling on the girl? Hell, IMO Matt is the idiot and should pay even more. The guy knew he was cashing in as an NFL QB, and he was dumb enough to have unprotected sex. The most stupid thing he did in all of this was letting a classy girl like Cameron go for sluts/idiots like Lohan and the like.
I agree that a child can be raised on much less than $15K per month. However, shouldn't the child enjoy the same (or nearly the same) standard of living as his multi-millionaire father?
At least Matt is stepping up to the plate, and wants to be involved in his son's life. That is more than can be said about many absentee fathers, including famous athletes.
It doesn't change the fact that 15,000 a month is way to much to ask for.
TJP - Leinhart's PR people are the ones saying thats what is being asked for. By no means does that mean its true or fact. Before you rush to judgement about whats being asked for at least make sure its true. (fyi - its not true)
