In either a one-time feature or occasional feature, we haven't decided, we include the Big Ten nonconference schedule. The question is, does any team play a nonconference schedule comparable to USC?
Illinois - Missouri, Western Illinois, @ Syracuse, Ball State
Indiana - Indiana State, @ Western Michigan, Akron, Ball State
Iowa - Northern Illinois, Syracuse, @ Iowa State, Western Michigan
Michigan State - UAB, Bowling Green, Pittsburgh, @ Notre Dame
Michigan - Appalachian State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan
Minnesota - Bowling Green, Miami (OH), @ Florida Atlantic, North Dakota St.
Northwestern - Northeastern, Nevada, Duke, Eastern Michigan
Ohio State - Youngstown St., Akron, @ Washington, Kent St.
Penn State - Florida International, Notre Dame, Buffalo, @ Temple
Purdue - @ Toledo, Eastern Illinois, Central Michigan, Notre Dame
Wisconsin - Washington St., @ UNLV, The Citadel, Northern Illinois

That's because their schedules are SO tough it would be crazy to not play 2 division II teams OOC. Or so they would have you believe.
I wonder then why it is that the only teams to have beaten USC (outside of UT in the NC game) were from inside the Pac-10. The Pac-10 must be baby soft.

Amazing. No Big 10 team has more than one non-conference game on the road. And Michigan and Northwestern (!) have none.
Meanwhile, USC has OOC dates at Nebraska and Notre Dame. Which won't stop some from moaning about SC's opener against Idaho.

TJP thanks for the update.
Well if there is, it is not coming out of the SEC "The best conference in the USA" haha..they are busy concerning themselves with their nail-bitters vs. UT-Chattanooga, UL-Lafayette, Florida-AM or some other hyphenated school..
Washington has a tough schedule...

When they had 10 teams and 11 regular season games, it might have been understandable that they played only 8 conference games. Now, theoretically, every year they could field 3 undefeated teams that don't face each other. But at least this year the big 3 (Ohio St, Michigan & Wisconsin) will play one another. Thankfully OSU & UM were outed in the bowls, and Wisconsin almost lost to the Mitch Mustain-less Razorbacks. Come to think of it, nobody but the Pac-10 schedules 9 conference games. Everybody plays everybody else, no cush schedules. All the other conferences are a bunch of pansies more worried about national rankings and the $$$. I always thought you had to play the best in order to be the best.

Michigan is closest to a comparable schedule but Idaho and Nebraska trumps Appalachian State and Eastern Michigan everytime.
