Yeah. No thanks. The only think more unbearable than Petros' yelling is his hatred of Matt. So what if he's not a "good" guy (whatever that means) most football players aren't. Even Petros has said that to play football you have to be a little off...

When it comes to Matt Leinart, you and Petros remind me of a couple of old bitter bitches.

Miquelito can probably relate to this story http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2949025, thats why is is a bruin fan.
I guess the UC system can't afford to pay their coaches.

How can a fucla coach and grad resort to burglary when there are so many pizza delivery jobs available in L.A.? Miguelito, couldn't you hook him up with your window washing gig?

Easy now. If you're a tax-paying Californian, then its your UC system too. Like it or not.

My taxes go to a lot of things I don't like or can criticize. The UC System just happens to be one.
Maybe he can be a paper delivery boy in the morning and a coach in the afternoon.

I like guys like "Fighton"...The UC system employs something like 6 or 7 of the countries Top 50 universities…and “Fighton” is going to criticize it because he’s a USC football fan. USC is a great institution but let’s be honest for a second…there are many more students walking around Berkeley and Westwood who were also admitted into USC…than students at USC who were admitted into UCLA and Berkeley as well. In many cases, SC is a safety school...I'm a recent UCSD grad and we are in the same boat.
How can the modern day genius' that lecture and study in the UC system compete with "Fighton" and his “paper delivery” smack as he types at 3 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon on a message board that while fun provides no real value to the world. Way to go smart guy!!!

Rich:
Considering you know nothing about me or what I do stick to what we are talking about. I prefer private instituions than what the UC system provides. I also don't believe that based on where you went to college has much to do with any of your future success. My point of contention is that the UC System obviously isn't paying their coaches well if they need to rob a house.
Go get a football team and then maybe you can go to your own blog site.

It's hilarious that you don't want me to judge you b/c I don't know you...but you will judge an entire system's payroll practices and make generalizations based on a single allegation against one coach who you know nothing about other than his title.
I didn't realize that only those who went to SC can post on this message board.
I’m sure kids who go to Ivy League schools will be disappointed to hear that where you go to college has little to do with your future success...based on your expert regression analyst. On the other hand a roar of relief and approval was just heard at junior colleges around the country.

According to national rankings, USC is one ranking behind UCLA. UCSD is 12 rankings below UCLA. Hardly the same boat, buddy. Grab your triton, go home, and watch some soccer.

Am I the only one who thought that FightOn's "I guess the UC system can't afford to pay their coaches." statement was mean to be tongue in cheek?
I doubt he was really suggesting that Eric Scott needs to supplement his salary by burglarizing someone's house. Unless he truly thought that Eric Scott made minimum wage at UCLA it should be obvious that his statement was intended as harmless dig at UCLA. (and please spare me the 'it wasn't harmless' argument. It was harmless. No 18 year old kid is coming to Scott's blog hoping to find the one final piece of evidence he needs to make his decision between USC and UCLA.)
Only on a blog/message board could a silly joke turn into a 10 minute diatribe on the successes/failures of the UC system.
It was a joke people. A joke made by a fan of a rival school. Move on.

I understand that SC has done a wonderful job of moving up in the rankings...but can you tell me what the demographic of the average SC freshman is? I would guess that while impressive it isn't quite as distinguished as Berkeley, UCLA, or UCSD.

Fighton and Rich,
Are you two going to start now with the "My Dad could beat up your Dad" stuff now too?
Jesus Christ this blog gets worse by the day!!!! Pisses me off too because I use to really enjoy it. Now it is a Mustain hype machine / Matt Leinart bashing site.
Like I said I'm pretty sick right now.

I love sports, I love football and I love men ... especially men that stand up for women & children! It's great to see you all stand up for Brynn Cameron and her baby. Too bad Matt L is the poster boy, but the men should be the ones to let other men know that they must take responsibility for their children.

Karla, unless you're a swimsuit model, you're not gonna change anyone's mind here. These kinds of situations are complex, even more so when the guy has a ton of cash. I'm going to wait until August 15 and for Scott's and Petros' respective live reports before passing judgement on this.
However, Karla, if you are a swimsuit model, you changed my mind.

More fun stats for our resident genius from UCSD:
mean SAT composite for freshman
USC: 2054
UCSD: 1945
Acceptance rate:
USC: 25%
UCSD 41%
Also USC is in the top 5 universities in the nation for enrollment of national merit scholars.

USCNY,
Grow up man! Actually fact checking SAT scores to prove a point in a Scott Wolf blog makes you look just as stupid as making the original statement. Childish!!! Maybe you should leave the football to the men so that you can go and research UCSD vs. USC AP information.
I'm embarrassed for you big guy.

why must you stand up for SC? who's trying to tear it down? the fact that it bothers you so much that you must research in order to destroy this guys outlandish comments makes you look like you have nothing better to do. you are so wrapped up in the topic that it makes you look like a loser. especially, when you're calling the guy you're responding to a loser. you're both morons. now don't let me catch you on her posting about football. i'll call you out every time. Ok - SAT Boy. What a nerd.

Your complete tool. I am not worried.Your guy is going to be in jail. Where he has been many time before. Eric Scott should have got his face rearranged when he was talking trash to Ken Norton at Price's house. He never coached a game before that point. What was he thinking?

This isn't about responsibility. Matt has already taken responsibility. He pays her $6K/month and also regularly goes and sees the child. My goodness, the man has filed to take custody of the child. Nope, this is only about money.

I just heard the podcast on KLAC, and man, Wolf and Petros sound like Joan Rivers and Rosie O'Donnell. I haven't heard such "Douche Nozzles" to quote Petros, since Paris Hilton's last press conference. Between Petros' absolute hatred for Leinart and Wolf's "I heard" and "my spies" it was almost unlistenable. Hearing that holier than thou diatribe from these two weasels made my stomach turn. Wolf, you're lucky you're the only thing going for SC football, otherwise most of your readers would flock to something else. I mean seriously, WTF? The only positive thing I can say about Wolf on that radio broadcast is that he's only about 20% as bad as Petros. Really. Listen to the podcast. Petros sounds like a petulant child who had his Matchbox racers taken away by Matt Leinart. Now he'll hold his breath and stomp his feet until everyone turns against him. Dude, grow the f' up!
(grumbling) Irritating SOB...

Sureshot32- Was there anything that Wolfe or Petros said that was untrue? Matt is turning out to be exactly who they have said he was for the past couple of years.

Oh man, too bad this thread turned into a UCLA/USC flame war. The actual interview was fantastic! They absolutely ripped Leinart and that guy is a total dead-beat dad. He's too busy partying it up to spend time with his son? He thinks that by just sending money (and missing payments for months on end) that he's living up to his responsibility? As a new father myself I have to say the guy is a total piece of shit.

Thanks for your input BruinFan. But you're an uninformed idiot quoting a radio rant (by a notorious anti-Leinart host) as fact.
First of all, Matt lives, works and practices in Arizona. How is he supposed to be there every waking minute for the kid? He's filed for custody what more do you want? Is he supposed to kidnap the kid and take him to AZ. Or maybe you think he could quit his job and move close to the mom (but then she could kiss her $30K/mth goodbye). Or perhaps he should ask for a trade to the Chargers (again very unlikely). What else would you rather him do?
Where did you see proof that he's missed payments for months on end? From the bastion of truth that is Petros or in the complaints lodged by the mother (the same woman that wants 30K/month.)
Oh and btw the mom seems to think that by him sending more money he's be living up to his resposibility just fine. Shows what you know.

SCSCSC -
sorry I did not respond to you earlier - I actually have a life. Anyway, what does this post left by your alter ego Rich have to do with football:
"I understand that SC has done a wonderful job of moving up in the rankings...but can you tell me what the demographic of the average SC freshman is? I would guess that while impressive it isn't quite as distinguished as Berkeley, UCLA, or UCSD."
Funny how you keep trying to tell us what a real man does when your comments sound like they're coming from a 10 year.
