Regarding Tatum

Officially, linebacker Josh Tatum needed a fresh start and never got started in the year he spent at USC, which caused him to transfer last week. Pete Carroll believed he needed a new chance and opportunity.
We also heard there were off-field issues that contributed to the decision, including academics and some other minor incidents that we don't want to go into. Nothing huge but they all added up. In other words, Tatum's departure was probably approved or encouraged, much like defensive tackle Walker Lee Ashley's in December. It wasn't merely a playing-time transfer like Antwine Perez.
Tatum wants to transfer to Miami but nothing's been decided yet.

Wow, I wonder what he did to get in the dog house with the coaches? Doesn't Pete usually just make a guy run a lap and then all is forgiven? I guess that only applies to guys who actually start. Miami sounds like a good choice. If you're too out of control for USC then the only other option is the USC of the East. Or is SC the Miami of the West? I can hardly keep it all straight.

I kid, I kid...

Too bad...lover LB's with arms that big..reminds me of Erik Herrin.

You got to wish Josh the best, no matter where he goes, but especially if he ends up at The criminal "U".

he just wasn't putting forth the best effort from what i hear. he was missing some rehab sessions for his knee and wasn't working out with the team this summer. heard he was a great kid though but never got in the groove at SC

Scott,
Regarding Tatum RE: " Tatum wants to transfer to Miami but nothing's been decided yet." What needs to be settled? Is it possible for him to stay? When I asked about the Depth Chart on the LB's in one of the Open Forums, I had a bad feeling about this kid. I am wonder if he is suffering from culture shock (not home sick). I feel for him.

"You got to wish Josh the best, no matter where he goes, but especially if he ends up at The criminal 'U'."

Yeah I wish him the best if he goes there too, but im not sure if we should be calling Miami criminal U with all the stuff that has been going on at SC over the past few years.
