Waving Goodbye

Cal wide receiver DeSean Jackson said former USC safety Darnell Bing feels some relief after being waived by the Raiders.
``I just talked to him and he figures it's an obstacle he needs to overcome,'' Jackson said. ``But he wanted to get away from the Raiders since Day 1.''

DeSean would know a lot about wanting to get out of situations.

He got out of his verbal commit to USC at the last minute, got out of having to compete for a spot at USC as a result (was handed one at Cal instead), probably wanted to get out of the game last year after that vicious shot from Kevin Ellison, and should be out of the Heisman discussion soon after the Nov 10th game against USC.

An obstacle DeSean needs to overcome would be to avoid being decapitated again in this year's game. Good luck MeSean.

wow that was original. I wonder where you hijacked that nickname.

I almost forgot....13-9

What a man you are Tyler. Tearing up a college kid b/c he didn't want to play for your team.

Don't you have a job? You post like a wild man on this blog. Sometimes it's nice to just take in some information without having to automatically spew hatred if said information doesn't agree with you.

hey SCSCSC....Try actually reading this blog. If you do you will notice that Tyler is probably one of the most knowledgeable and "on point" posters here!
Props to you Tyler..

SCXXXX:
This is a FREE country. What is your problem? You picked-up the wrong person to bellyache about. Save your energy to blast the usual suspect when they trash Mark Sanchez, right golohead?
Thanks

uh..door prize..

listen bud..

I understand you like Mark Sanchez and I like him too and think he is just as good/better than MM.

But man you gotta chill..your kinda going overboard here and making yourself look bad with all these unsolicited attacks on everyone..

Let MS do his thing :))

Tyler is a good poster, and anyone who saw the way DeSean behaved in the Coliseum should be proud he is a Bear and not a Trojan. After the Cal game, my buddies and I sat out by our tailgate and played the TiVo replay of that hit over, and over and over. DeSean is a talent, but I think we may see some serious alligator arms from him against SC. I can't wait to see Ellison and Mays in the secondary together - hope Pinkard can adapt to corner - he is a stud as well, but I love those 2 guys @ safety - they just bring it. And DeSean, walk the walk before you try to talk the talk.

Wish Darnell the best of luck, you think he wished he stuck around for one more year?

Miguelito don't you have a coach to worry about? I didn't realize that MeSean was trademarked. My bad.

SCSCSC,
I don't have a problem with DeSean because he chose not to come to USC (If USC had gotten DeSean they probably either don't get Patrick Turner or one of the gamebreakers they picked up this past year McKnight, Rojo or Carswell. So I'm more than OK with it).

I have a problem with DeSean because he's a prime example of everything that's wrong with athletes today. He's all about himself. He strung along USC and PC just long enough to use them to "shock the world" on national television. Had USC not gone after him he wouldn;t have even had the opportunity to pull the stunt he did in the announcement. He used USC solely to make a name for himself.

He came into the Coliseum last year running his mouth like an idiot (calling out the fans in the Thundering Herd section), he almost got his head separated from his shoulders and was never heard from again.

Do I think he's a fantastic player? Absolutely. I also think T.O.'s the best physical receiver in the NFL. Doesn't mean I have to like them. DeSean needs to prove he can win something before I respect him. Till then he's a punk with a big mouth, great hands and a penchant for getting forearm checked on national TV.

Do you applaud Fluor Tower accusing MS of sabotaging MM's bike? If you want to give that scrawny idiot a FREE pass more power to you; fine...
What I said of SCXXX is true, thank you "bud"...

TB and the rest of the USC fans:
The 49ers claimed Bing. If he makes the team he will be playing safety. I hope he's fully recovered from his neck injury.
I watched a DeSean J. interview on ESPN and he sounded very arrogant.
Mickey Mouse better known as miguelito enjoy your 13-9. On 1 Dec 07 your powder blue is going to be black and blue after the beating USC is going to give your KULITO, sabe!

The one thing Jackson's comment spotlight is what a lousy decision Bing made leaving early. His quality of his play declined each year at SC. I understand that some of the drop-off in play was due to injury, however, not even the biggest Bing fan would agree that he was ready for the NFL. Is there something I am missing? Academics? Fall-out with the staff? Something!?

Thanks for proving my point Door Prize. Maybe DeSean should focus on one thing at a time. Like beating USC first - or remaining conscious for more than half a game.

DeSean's stats in games against USC are certainly NC/Heisman worthy...

2005 - 1 rec, 9 yds
2006 - 2 rec, 41 yards

When he's piling up stats like that one can certainly appreciate his confidence.
