Have the coaching staff had a chance to evaluate Mitch Mustain in person yet or do they have to wait until training camp begins? If they have seen him in person, what areas do they feel he has to work on between now and spring training?
Now that the NFL is cracking down on players who have been in trouble with the law, and have said teams that draft players who have been arrested in college will be punished under new league policies, do you think that will affect Rey Maualuga's chances of getting drafted? Is there a cloud hanging over Maualuga's head that could come back to haunt him as he attempts to become a professional football player, which many inside USC believe he will do following this season?
As a Trojan alumn here in the South, I can't wait to attend another 'SC game here (especially after LSU's idiotic comments). Arkansas last year was a ton of fun. Any plans you know of to schedule another series with an SEC team?
Will Troy Van Blarcom's expulsion from the university count against the team's APR? If he went on to another school, does that not mean it does not affect USC's APR?
Now that those three old videos have finally been removed from your blog, does that mean you are getting ready to post some new videos? Will they contain videos of Mitch Mustain or previews of your reading excerpts of "Mitch and Me"? You have to start the build-up many months, sometimes years, before publication if you want to get the word out to ensure it becomes a bestseller.
The broken bicycle pedal incident will clearly be the key chapter to the book! The theories of Sanchez being behind the plot to foil our hero is what will make the book a best seller.

Just can't wait to get all the juicy answers about the player I guess is our new gridiron hero and role model.
Thanks for doing this site. It is my one stop shop for all things Mitch, and USC.
I've got questions about the construction around campus and I have the feeling you are the man to answer the question:
-When and where is the new football complex going to be built? Are we going to see something similar in calibar to what Notre Dame just recently build to house Charlie (http://und.cstv.com/facilities/gugathleticscenter.html)?
-What is happening with the Coliseum and the commission? Is USC going to take it over and are any renovations in the works either with or without an NFL team ever coming?
-With the fact that that eyesore of a cat is allowed to stay, how is that going to affect the construction of the new University Gateway project or any other project in that Jeff/Fig intersection?
Scott, I'm going to help out and answer half of Ex-Sportswriters questions:
6) Mitch Mustain doesn't wear a shirt. The best way to keep Petros away is to intimidate him. Walking around without a shirt also helps with the answer to #7.
7) Blondes AND Brunettes
8) When you roll with Rey-Rey you don't need money. He owns this town.
9) Mitch water skis by strapping his feet to the backs of killer whales.
10) Trick question. Mitch Mustain never gets sick let alone a runny nose. But if he decided he wanted to wipe his nose just for fun, he'd use whatever shirt Houston Nutt is wearing at the time.
First, to reader USC1966: Congrats! You are the only one so far to know who ol' George Tirebiter was.
Oh merciful Great Scott: As you will remember, I posted my question just mere seconds too late on the mid-week open forum. I hope that means I get to ask two tonight, heh heh. Oh well, only one way to find out--I'll ask two, and pray, heh heh.
1. When Joey Adewale got the two year deal from Carroll, does that mean he will count against our limit of 85 in the year 2008?
2. On your limit of only giving us three near- lock- to- committ list, since Ayers committed, can you throw us all a bone and give us another name to get back to three? I speak for thousands, many thousands, of your most loyal readers, who have requested that I be the one to ask you this question, since they know you have great mercy and compassion for a person near death like me, and, as Lorena Bobbitt said, "It won't be long now!"
You said on The Petros and Money Show that the person in the football office who initially assigned Mitch Mustain the jersey No. 13, without Pete Carroll's permission, was someone known for making "bonehead decisions" without thinking. Can you fill us in on who it was? Was it Brennan Carroll? I know he has quite a reputation for being, how do I say it rather diplomatically, not the most intellectually gifted person around.
You wrote in an earlier blog entry that Leinart "probably makes another $3-5 million in endorsements."
Are you sure that is even remotely accurate? Carson Palmer makes well under $1 million a year (something like $600,000-700,000) from endorsements and he is far more high profile than Leinart. Last I heard, Palmer was pretty much just doing commercials for a local Cincinnati car dealerships and some hot dog company, and not too much else.
I would be surprised if Leinart even makes over $500,000 in endorsements. I haven't really seen his name on anything other than some video game, so are you sure he "makes another $3-5 million in endorsements"? That number seems much too high for him.
In 2004 USC had a very deep defensive line, and it seemed they were able to substitute players and keep fresh legs on the field. As a result, our D Line got stronger as the games would go on.
Do you think USC has enough good players on the D Line to be similar to the one in '04 and give the players some rest?
Actually, Scott, I was wondering why football players will not be able to live in Cardinal Gardens during the regular semester, not training camp. I know a football office staffer moved into Cardinal Gardens last year, but now no football players are allowed to live there, period. That's what I was wondering about.
What happened to Chris Galippo on the ESPN Reality Show "Summer House"? He was to be one of six HS footballers featured, but he seems to have been cut out. What happened?
Scott –
You’ve intimated that last year USC never threw to tight ends (literary license, I know). That raises the question: what positions were thrown to, and how often? It’s obvious that Jarrett was the preferred target, for whatever reason, except when he was injured, and then Smith got the love, but it would be interesting to see an analysis of who else got the ball, how often.
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
