Welcome Back
Fullback Jody Adewale was given his football scholarship back and will be on the team this season. Adewale also got USC to assure him of a sixth year so he can obtain his master's degree.
A cynic might not Adewale got invited back immediately after linebacker Josh Tatum left the program and tight end Jordan Cameron did not have the proper units to transfer to USC. Hello two scholarships!
"Coach (Pete) Carroll said he wanted me back and I always wanted to play," Adewale said.
If you forgot, Adewale was told last year he was not needed on the team and was going to work in the athletic dept. for his scholarship.

Comments
Does anyone really think that is Jody actually going to get much playing time or will he end up becoming the last resort again? Could this scholly be one of those meant to raise the academics level of the team?

We have a shortage of depth at FB. If Havili goes down who knows. Hes had injury problems.
Welcome back Jody...

Jody is the living definition of a team player. He has had a much better attitude about this whole thing than I ever could or would have. I will be rooting for him this season as hard as I will root for any other individual on the USC team.

I'm with goliathtrojan, don't expect Jody to get much PT at all. Yes, with Stanley there is a question of possible injuries. Right now though, I would expect Jody to be number 3 on the depth chart behind Stanley and Jordan Campbell. cstory80, you hit the nail on the head. Jody is all about "TEAM". He is gives 101% during practice and is there when ever and where ever PC needs him. Welcome back Jody, you are a great asset to the Trojan nation. Fight On!

I am sure that Andewale is a true team player, but he also cut himself a good deal. What is the dollar value of a sixth year of free tuition at SC grad school? I wish my kids could get that deal.

How Do You Do!
It's deja vu all over again, with Jody back. What's his Number going to be, Wolfie? Inquiring minds want to know.

Jody held out and got good deal. Good for him as this season may be memorable and he will have a ring. He finishes.
Good for USC as it has no second FB until someone switches there. Jody at least knows position and has Trojan pride. This is position of need.

My initial comment may have sounded more caustic than I'd intended. I totally respect his TEAM attitude. I just don't think that he's good enough to play much and it seems to me to be an insurance policy scholorship. Every team needs them and Jody has always been the consumate team player, I also see him no higher than 3rd string.
